    The ending of the original series was awful, so hopefully this goes in a completely difference direction.

    Lol -- it was apparently so bad that I don't even remember how it ended. And I'm pretty sure I watched through to the bitter end.

    Carnival was the last season, and it concluded with the smallest major earthquake scene in TV history. It's like they blew through their budget, and when it came time for the final scene, they hired a high school theater club for the special effects, using small-scale tinker toys and erector sets for the big finale.
