I know in year's past the Blazers have given out tickets to the Nike Hoop Summit to season ticket holders. I don't want to bother them for something that you guys don't want. Are any of you interested in meeting up and going if I can get free tickets? Also, tickets are only $5 in advance. If I can't get free tickets are any of you still interested? The 2014 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team roster will be selected by the USA Basketball Men's Developmental National Team Committee and is expected to be announced later in January, with the 2014 World Select Team to follow in March. The USA Junior National Select Team is expected to consist of 10 to 11 players, a head coach and an assistant coach, while the World Select Team will consist of 11 players age 19 years old or younger from FIBA's five geographic zones: FIBA Africa, FIBA Americas, FIBA Asia, FIBA Europe and FIBA Oceania, with the approved sanctioning of FIBA, the governing body of international basketball. World Team alumnus Anthony Bennett, who led the international squad to a Nike Hoop Summit win in 2012, went No. 1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2013, followed by five more international players and five U.S. alumni. Since the first Nike Hoop Summit in 1995, seven Hoop Summit alumni have been chosen No. 1 in the NBA Draft, including the past four No. 1 picks, and all told, 48 players have been selected among the first 10 draftees. I was looking for the "For Free, and I can bring both of my daughters" option. Although I'd pay the $5 anyhow, I'd more than make up for the free tickets buying the kiddos snacks at the game (and a few beers for me, if they're sold at it).
