It's sad that the people who run things would rather seemingly fucking implode the board than allow things to be worked out. I'm sorry we're too puny to deal with but I would suggest the Yankee and Rangers board have been a positive on what honestly is a puny over all website and community to begin with. A certain party needs to get over himself and his delusions of granger.

Indeed. Messageboard admins generally all seem to suffer from the same self-important mindset like they have built freaking Microsoft instead of starting up a free internet posting site...Basically a middle management mentality that makes working most places for the masses unbearable and leads to companies not achieving as they should.

Wait, what were we talking about again? Oh yeah, it's always just a matter of time before the typical admin kills the sites. It's why a corporate owned site like ESPN, for all the PC stuff, is always the better option.

I have tried to engage with Denny and he has given his side. It's sad because as I stated in another thread, I felt we were gaining traction and when the season started I felt we had a chance to take off. I felt Denny was unfair to Rick. 59 has always stood on his own merit. I wish we could broker a better solution but the umpire has made his call. I know that if you asked me to trade 59 and Rick for the 2 clowns that started this crap it would have been deemed a bad trade.

Say what you want but Rick and 59 were good Yankee posters and I agree this board had a chance to do well this coming season. I guess people didn't realize that we really only had two months of baseball here last season after ESPN shut things down.

In all seriousness, folks need to understand that Rick and 59 are unique personalities and should be celebrated for their differences. Sure Rick is very sensitive to in proportional treatment and hypocrisy, and well 59 can be a royal pain in the ass. I love that about both of them. You can butt heads one day, and be aligned the next. And if you ever witnessed the bullshit they both endured on some other sites well the drive by trolling and Denny's involvement (both action and inaction) that just was too reminiscent of bad old times.

There are always multiple sides to a debate....majority, minority and fringe. The beautiful thing about this country is that we all have a right to express our beliefs. I sure don't have to agree or like what someone else says, but I'm happy to back up your 1A freedoms, even if it means exercising my 2A rights..

Forums need a virtual man up room where administrators/mods and offending posters can take their grievances off line. Shit like this brings everyone down, there are no winners.

Totus you and I agree. As I said to Al if it wasn't for difference of opinions how would these boards survive. I don't agree with the final call. Rick and 59 were all stars in a WWF format. It certainly has broken any and all momentum we had I feel.

When you consider that for example the Trailblazer and Bulls boards were started in 2003 this board was doing pretty well traffic wise. We've only been here since mid July of last year.

When posters take it upon themselves to be rent-a-cop board moderators, it never works out. Have to say as someone who was an original poster on ESPN going back to 1996 - the board was great until the group of wannabe board cops showed up about 10 years ago and decided that their lives were generally not very fulfilling or interesting, so they reached the conclusion that they would try and find some meaning in their lives by spending 10-12 hours on the board a day "policing" something that required no policing.

I don't know Denny, not sure we have ever exchanged dialogue on threads here (maybe on ESPN?), but think that if it was his decision to ban a proven board cancer - good for you Denny.
