This game should be a real test of our EC best record since 1/1/14.

Golden State should easily beat the Bulls, but that's why they play 'em all I suppose.

Didn't think the game would turn out this well.

Bulls are now 8-4 in the month of February, which is when the ball was supposed to start rolling down hill.

We're 19-8 since the beginning of the year, which is better than any other eastern conference team.

Noah has blossomed into a true star. Honest question: is there any other big man that you can run offense through like you can through him? When's the last time the NBA had anything resembling a point-center?

The team seems very healthy. Jimmy's looking like his old self, great defense and getting to the line. You get the impression he kinda decided to stop being what he thought everyone wanted him to be and just went back to playing his game.

Hinrich's defense on Curry was just nasty. Game MVP.

Noah and Boozer with a combined 10 offensive boards. That's cleaning up after a lot of missed shots. Like 10 out of 83 :)

Bear in mind that Noah is averaging 4.5 APG this season.

Kevin Love and Josh McRoberts are averaging over 4 APG this season. Blake Griffin is at 3.5, and Spencer Hawes is at 3.3. Marc Gasol is averaging 3.5 APG this season, and averaged 4.0 last.

There have been a lot of big men that teams run offense through. Tim Duncan has averaged over 3 assists per game for his career. Shaq averaged 3.8 and 3.7 APG during the three peat years in LA. Kareem averaged 3.6 for his career, with a few seasons over 5. Bill Walton averaged 3.4 for his career, much of it injury riddled, and over 4.5 two of his healthy seasons (once over 5).

Our own Brad Miller averaged over 3.5 APG for five seasons and had two over 4.0, one at 4.7.

How about Tom Boerwinkle? He averaged over 5 APG one season and 3.2 for his career. His backup, Dennis Awtrey, averaged 3.7 per 36 minutes (he was a backup, but was known for being a great passing big man).

And of course Wilt. He had over 7 APG twice (once over 8) with Philly and 4.5 for the Lakers in 1973 when he was an old man. He actually led the league in assists one season.

Noah's having a great season, no doubt. Your question about running offense through big men got me interested.

Well, you're throwing out some pretty impressive names here. I'd say that puts Noah in good company.

As Denny points out, Noah's at 4.5 assists/game (4.6 this morning) for the season and that's elite for a true center. However, in the 26 games since Jan 1, he's dishing out 5.9 assists/game, which is downright crazy for a center in the modern era. Gotta give Thibodeau some credit for featuring Noah's passing skills even more in the offense.

I think he just got tired of watching Hinrich dribble 20 seconds of the 24 second clock away.

    ;-)
