Even at age 36 I'm hoping that Roberts can rebound from those injury plagued seasons and make some solid contributions. Always respected his game. I'd hope the Yankees will stand fast with McCann as primary and Cervelli as backup. I always thought that the addition of McCann was an automatic boost to the staff. The team has made some huge upgrades from last season. Granted there are concerns but all teams have them, lets not see another 56 player season.
I just can't see how he would help unless the scouting has found something they feel he they can correct. He was a much heralded talent coming up. The hair issue with the Yankees could be a hoot.
