From what I saw of Berea in the RMR I'd have to go with him. He seems like he could be an Earl Boykins type player.
Allan Ray. He will be an excellent role player in hsi career. But I think he can only become a role player. I haven't seen that much of him though.
I'll go with Yakhouba Diawara. He's actaully one of the only players listed that has a great chance to get regular minutes and actaully has a good chance to start over JR Smith in Denver. All the other players will do thier time in the D-league for a while. I really think Diawara will be a good player for the Nuggets this season and for seasons to come at that 2-gaurd spot. If he plays well individually, that'll help the team. I'm really going with him on part because he seems to have a better situation in front of him than some of the others. Most of the others are fighting for a roster spot while Diawara is practically gaurunteed minutes. From what I here, Karl really likes him as well.
how about Jorge, things are looking bright for him, and he looks very talented for his age and understanding, plus he has a huge basketball IQ, and looks like a good fit for the raptors.
BOS Allan Ray G VillanovaTOR Jorge Garbajosa F SpainDAL Pops Mensah-Bonsu F George WashingtonI'm going with one of these three. I've heard/seen great things about/from these guys. I'd probably say Pops out of the three though.ATL Andreas Glyniakadis C GreeceIs this Baby Shaq?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (SunnyD @ Oct 26 2006, 04:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>ATL Andreas Glyniakadis C GreeceIs this Baby Shaq?</div>No it's not. Baby Shaq is Sofoklis Schortsanitis. But I say the top 3 are:1. Jorge GarbajosaI really like what I see so far. He's very tough, he can shoot, he can handle 2 positions, and he is a team player. This was a real good pickup by Toronto.2. Yakhouba DiawaraHe can play both SG and SF, he's a good defender, he's real tough, he has a solid outside shot, and he's a real hustler. He's real strong as well.3. Allan RayHe's a good shooter, quick, and he's capable of playing the PG position. I am really impressed with his passing skills.
One guy I dont want anybody to count out is Darius Washington. He made a very stupid decision and went in to the draft early, but he can become a player. He was one of the best players in the nation going in to college and he has the talent to become a pro player. He just needs some more work IMO.
was darius washington signed?I obviously want allan ray to succeed, but another guy I'm pulling for is Pops Mensah-Bonsu from GW. I love his game. extremely athletic, great defender, he's a spark plug.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>was darius washington signed?</div> Mavs signed him but waived him a week ago. He'll have to go through D-League or Euro to work his way back onto a team.
Players that haven't been named yet that could become good players:Jawad WilliamsCedric BozemanKelenna AzibuikeKevin PittsnogleMike Gansey
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (wolverine30 @ Oct 28 2006, 01:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Kevin Pittsnogle</div>He was named in the first post, but he got cut by Boston last week I think.
I don't know much about many of these players but I think a majority of them will be demoted to the d-league for sure. the guys who stick out to me are allan ray, pittsnogle, gansey and lynn greer. greer led the nation in scoring a few years ago but that really doesn't mean much since most of those players don't become great players. pittsnogle I think already got cut but I see him definitely signing with someone because his shooting touch is hard to come by, especially a guy of his size. gansey is a good shooter but I think that's all he'll be. allan ray I think is the player I know most about since I'm from the ny area. he's got a lot of athleticism but he's not really a pg so his size may hurt him but I think he'll be the best of this group.
Those West Virginia boys won't ever start in the NBA. My reasons? Well, it's just a hunch... Seriously, Pittsnogle is a bigger Raef LaFrentz, and I was pretty glad the Pistons did not grab Gansey with the last pick. But I doubt either will start for a ball club in the future.
Allan Ray has already found his NBA niche as a shooter, so in the beginning he already has the advantage. But in the future? It's tough to tell, but if I had to put money on someone it'd be Ray.

My favorite out of that list are:Allen Ray: This guy was amazing at Nova and always put up a good game against my Huskies.. He was a good scorer with pretty good D.Kevin Pittsnogle: He is a great shooter from the perimeter with some post moves and average defense, kind of like Dirk style of play.Ivan McFarlin: He played great for my Cowboys. Always a good rebounder with some scoring troubles, but when he got on he was unstoppable down low. Only problem is he played center in a 6'9 body. You did not want to drive on him though.

When he's 36 I doubt he will even be playing in the NBA.
