Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? Well except for charges. I don't really care one way or another.

Its just something I dislike about the league.

The NFL has a much more strict uniform policy and nobody freaks out over that. The tights were wierd and I'm glad Stern got rid of them, when your complaining about the leader of the NBA banning tights then their isn't much to complain about.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? I didn't see anything wrong with the tights. Those were weird to you when your the one that defends gay people om every thread(they are weird, we should get rid of them all :shifty2? They looked no different than long socks and the players liked it. It was a stupid ban.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? 1st round rookie contracts are too big in comparison to veteran contracts around the league. I think rookie contracts should be negotiated like in the NFL. The difference between being the 30th pick and the 31st pick has a huge impact on the rest of your life."Streetball" and especially And 1 is terrible for the NBA. Kids are infatuated with it and can't differentiate it from standard basketball. I can't go to the park anymore without some little kid trying to throw a ball between my legs. I think young kids want to see that style of play all the time and some NBA players feel pressured to play flashier in order to become more popular players.

I say the max allowed for the first year is 3.5 million, and the min is obviously 385k.That streetball thing is true as well. Everyone wants to ball up nowadays. Hahah.

Sure it's entertaining but it's hurt the quality of the game.</div>I actually agree with you. The NBA would be better for it. Some players are just in the league for their shooting and I dont think thats how it should be. Also, it takes away from people going to the basket. Players tend to settle for 3's when they could take it to the basket for a better shot. Although, games wouldnt be as exciting at the end because it would be harder to come back/make game winning shots....
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? #1 David Stern- I hate how over these last two years he has just became a dictator instead of a commish. He's trying to control everything these players do and say and it's just not right. Some of the new recent rules I really hate are the No tights rule, Zero Tolerence rule, and this is not a rule but the last statement by Stern of Players should keep their guns at home. First, the tights wasn't hurting no one at all and I don't see why the players can't wear them, most guys used them for medical reasons or to keep their legs warm and all of that. Theres no difference between the high socks and the tights if you ask me and next I guess players won't be able to wear headbands or none of that if they choose. The Zero Tolerence rule just sucks, I think it's another way for refs to try and take over the game and I don't like it one bit. Its crazy that people are getting T'd up for just looking at a player and for every tech that is resended by the league that ref who accessed the tech should be fined because that unnessary tech most likely caused that team a point. And the gun thing, players have the right to leave guns in their cars or whatever for their safety and if he's so against them having guns why don't he go out and assign each player their own personal security guard. And rather you like it or not this is a hip hop league and will almost be a hip hop league so all of this league image change is just stupid to me. Players back in the old days got in just as much off the court trouble as playyers now its just the media wasn't like it is now and everything didn't get out like it does now so to say every player thinks their gansta or whatever is just crazy, I guess being black is being "ganster" now and for the record its gangsta not "gangster". #2 Refs- The refs are just horrible now and with this new zero tolerence rule it will only get worse. I hate the soft calls, the rookies calls, the Superstar calls, the wait and see if the ball goes in or not calls and all that crap, if its a foul its a foul no matter if the ball goes in, or who the defender is, or who the offensive player is. And like I said earlier for every tech that gets resended by the league that ref should be fined. #3 Miami PA Announcer- That guys gets more and more annoying every single year.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? No great defense anymore..Too much offensive domination. We need more players that will throw their body around and maker sure that the other player's don't score. We need more Bruce Bowen's, and Ron Artest's. It's too soft.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? like I said before the three point line is not the problem but the players/teams who abuse it, smart players/teams use it to their advantage. How can u space the floor properly without the threat of a 3pt line ??? Defensive teams will clog the paint because they don't have to worry giving up a three.

And when your joints get cold your not as flexible. Wearing those tights keep you warm. And they dont go to walgreens and buy panty hose or anything, what they where are legs versions of the undershirts football players wear.

I still don't see whats the problem with having them if they're helping players, it's just another way Stern wants to control everything.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? Ticket pricing isn't that bad. You can get tickets for 15 bucks(for tghe Sixers anyway) and you can still get a decent view of the game. Amazing for 15 bucks. I would never pay over 100 for lower level tickets unless I got them for free. Anyway I hate the guard dominance. I prefer big men dominating the league. The ticky tacky fouls are why guards are dominating nowadays anyway so yeah that too.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? The tights thing is stupid but their banned. It's such a little thing to bicker about, I don't see the reason to. I mean their just tights, as BCB stated, it's been a non issue the past 50 years. As stupid as the banning was, it's hardly something that dramatically takes away from the game.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? It's not because they need them, it's because mr derp wants to make a fashion statement. Tell him he can't and he changes his number. REBEL AGAINST THE SYSTEM!DTP what do you mean he's trying to control their lives? He's only controlling things that happen IN the arena, or things that might hinder his players or hurt the game. Tell me something he's done that doesn't have to do with basketball. The players are paid tons of money, something I'd do quite a lot for, so screw them, they can follow rules until they retire.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? I'm not sure if anyone said this yet but the playoffs are way too long and way too many teams can qualify. I think the fact that a bucks team that went 40-42 made the playoffs. that's obsurd. if you're record is not above .500 you simply don't deserve a shot for a title, not that they would have a chance anyway but anything can happen. I think they should reduce it to 6 teams making the playoffs. baseball's format is good since you know that you have to be good to make the postseason, only 8 teams make it out of like 28 teams. the nba has 16 teams make it and that's just not good. also the first round should never be a 7 game series. stern is just money hungry. it should go back to the 5 game format because a crappy team should be knocked out as soon as possible. stern needs to go. he's been here for too long, since 1984 I believe. he's come up with too many whack rules that makes the nba look like a bunch of pussies. for example, the hand checks. you can't touch a guy without it being a foul and that just has to go. too many free-throws being shot and lack of good defense is also hurting the league.
Re: What's the worst thing about the NBA? I just have to add this, The biased NBA League Pass announcers really get on my nerves.I was watching the Lakers-Sonics game. They were being very annoying.
