Met GM Sandy Alderson says the Mets could win 90 games. And David Wright backs him up.

If the Mets can win 90 with what they have, The Yankees should be good for 120 wins.

Yeah, and unless you live in a fantasy world, no real fan is going to buy into. I mean its one thing to be passionate about your team but delusional, well that's a whole different story.

What is this, some new attempt at a Ponzi scheme? Never mind, that's called Mets season tickets purchase.

The Mets are built to fail by an owner and FO organization that has been paralyzed financially. If I was the manager I would be furious because the Mets have done nothing to give him a 90+ win team unless you add Curtis in for a plus 30. After Curtis, who i love, finishes air conditions CITI with the swings and misses, and they realize that they lost one of the best young pitchers in baseball, maybe then if the Mets go 81-81 they will of realized that they just had a good season.

Curtis IMO is another one (like Cano) who's numbers are going to suffer without that short RF porch. If he hits 25 I'll be impressed. 25 HRs & near 200 Ks.

he did manage to hit 300 with 141 strikeouts while hitting in Comerica, think he can fine tune his stroke in Citi.
    Im a fan of Curtis

EDIT...OMG he had 23 triples that season with 23 home runs...that's frigen amazin

Yeah, I remember the year he had. Curtis is truly one of the best guys in baseball. However Citi will hurt his numbers and if that forces him to adjust to be more of a contact hitter, his triples numbers may lead the league. Rick and Al you bring up both sides of the potential stats of the 2014 Grandy I would say maybe 265 with 21HR 75RBI and 200 K's unfortunately.

Al I'm not wishing bad for Curtis. I'm also a fan. I think he's one of the really good guys of the game. as a matter of fact did you know that he's only one of 4 men in the 20-20-20-20 club.

"Okay Rick, what the hell is the 20-20-20-20 club?"
"Relax Al, I'm gonna tell you now"

    20 Doubles, 20 Triples, 20 Home runs & 20 Stolen bases. 2007 he had 38 doubles, 23 triples, 23 HRs & 26 SBs.

BTW: The other 3 guys are Frank Schulte - Chicago Cubs 1911, Willie Mays, Giants 1957, & Jimmy Rollins - Phillies also in 2007

" Rick, I'm amazed, how the hell do you know all this shit?"
" I'm the stat king Al".

Bows to the almighty Rick and his stat knowledge.
He acknowledged that he got pull and homer happy playing with the short right field porch.
I hope nothing but the best for him. I think the Mets got a very good player, not sure why Curtis would want to go there though. Options I guess were limited.

Watching "Hot Stove" this AM and saw that David Wright was named as the Face of MLB. He was then phone interviewed by Vasgergian and Reynolds and upon being questioned about 90 wins to Wright stated yes that 90 wins could be done. So there you go kids. That was followed by an interview with Gaincarlo Stanton and when questioned how many wins the Marlins would get he answered that no such number expectations were said, play one game at a time. Both teams made additions but I'd be more inclined to agree with Stanton on expectations.

    difference in "could" and "should"
I don't mind the leader of my team saying hey we could win 90...we could make the playoffs....we could win the world series...otherwise why even bother showing up right
