The Pistons start out the season on November 1st, and wrap up the 11th month in Miami. a 15-game month. Here is the Shedule as a whole, we should keep this up-dated as the games are completed.N.1-Milwaukee BucksN.3-@Boston CelticsN.4-Memphis GrizzliesN.6-@Utah JazzN.8-@Sacramento KingsN.10-@L.A. LakersN.11-@Golden State WarriorsN.15-NO/OK HornetsN.17-Washington WizardsN.18-Houston RocketsN.21-@Philadelphia 76ersN.22-Atlanta HawksN.24-Charlotte BobcatsN.25-@Washington WizardsN.30-@Miami HeatThey have the ability to start off 12-3 or 11-4...if they are able to do that(while beating the Heat in Miami) then we will be in great shape..
The Pistons dropped their season opener to Milwaukee 105-97 at homeRip and Chauncey both scored 25 but we lost because of 22 turnovers and a 37 point performance by Michael Redd.
Better game last night, Rip did his usual best against the Celtics. Nazr gives us so much more flexibility on offense than Ben did, even tho Billups struggled w/ his shot he found the right guys at the right spots. When Sheed got his first points of the season it set him off as it showed when he made the thunderous dunk. I think the bench tends to struggle on the road because they only got 10 points from their reserves. I just don't understand why Flip doesn't give Amir Johnson a shot just like how Doc Rivers is not playing Gerald Green. I know Johnson has McDyess and Maxiell in front of him but Amir is the type of player to bring so much athleticism and amp up the squad w/ thunderous dunks. One last thing what is this b.s I read about rumors that Chauncey might want to sign w/ the Bucks after the season? This would be terrible if this were to happen, 2 of our all stars leaving Detroit to go to Central division rivals in the past 2 seasons. I mean the season just started and it is way too early to be thinking about things like this but I hope Billups does not pull a Wallace, HoLLa baCk
I haven't heard about this Chauncey rumor... Link?We also played a good game against the Pau-less Grizz. We should do pretty solid on the west coast trip, but we need more production from the bench.
We have a California trip after Utah tonight, it will be close hopefully the Pistons can dominate...it will be hard to win all four but they should be able to win at the very least 2...I think they will win three out of four though.
Pistons lost to the Jazz in a very good game last night. Rasheed was on fire, and I don't think we gave him the ball enough down the stretch. That and one/"travel" call was B.S. Other then that the officiating was sloppy both ways.2-2, we need to take 2 of the next three on this west coast swing.
I was really disgusted by the Pistons play in last night's loss to the kings. It kind of reminded me of the first game against the Bucks, they couldn't rebound for s***(even tho Sheed had 14 boards). I really thought after winning two straight they would start to gel together but their D is really missing Big Ben. One of their main problems is falling behind and trying to come baCk from deficits especially in the first quarter. Not to mention they end up exchanging baskets w/ their opponents instead of playing D like they used to. I just hope to salvage this west coast trip the boys can man up and win the last 2 games of the road trip. HoLLa baCk
I hate to correct, but it was 15, but it does look better since he didnt score.ha. but if we dont win both of these next two games then I will not be very happy.
