Fill me in, why is 59 banned? Is this a 24hr bug or a permaban?

Let's test that....shall we debate climate change? How about the 2nd Amendment? Abortion? Legalization of recreational drugs? Apparently LGBT topics are taboo.

True, if signed all the klan-like folks could host a forum based in Arizona and refuse LGBT users from joining. Of course this is silly, all one needs to do if host from Russia, Uganda or any Islamic nation.

Its funny, a fed judge can overturn a ban on gay marriage in Texas (today) and folks will be getting hitched before sundown. Here is San Diego, CA the 9th SC overturns may issue CCW, making it shall issue license to carry firearms, and the government (sheriff's dept) stalls and delays the implementation of the law.

Frankly speaking, the 2A is the biggest civil rights issue of our day. Whether or not two people or a guy and his dog want to have a civil union - knock yourself out. Just don't corrupt the term marriage. Marriage is a religious sacrament between man and woman. When you get married in the Church, you also get a civil union document. Redefine civil unions to mean any two consenting adults, and move on.

problem is there are many issues that you would have to redefine...tax law...insurance codes just to name a two....
are we saying that civil unions should be treaded as married couples filing tax returns...can the couple list one as spouse for health insurance?
what about social security disability? it's not just a status issue.

Ah simple....get rid of the IRS. Make establishing definition of family more simple. Too many labels.

My libertarian gene has been activated, lol!

Obviously a small sample size but it was good to see Tanaka out there. It was funny when Singleton commented about him having seven different pitches.

Tanaka ball just moves and he seemed to be able to spot the fastball at 94. The 2 hits he gave up was on 0-2 fastballs which in season I don't think would be the pitched called. Girardi afterwards said that they are trying to build arm strength at this point in Spring Training. His forkball is off the hook.

Cisco Cervelli was catching right? Probably following orders from Girardi who is trying to figure out what the hell he has.

...if so, great to hear from you again.

Yes, Sir, I am the same old guy, from the ESPN boards. Haven't changed the handle.

59, its great to see you here, as well as some other of my friends. I've missed the boards.

    OT:
How ya' been 59? Are you still playing a load of golf, I hope? One cannot beat the courses in Georgia, but you know that. Last time I talked with you, you were negotiating working/taking over a course. Did that ever go down. I recall, they wanted you to run both the Course and Club, & I believe you said, you would gladly run the course, not the other. Was that a case of 2 previous employees, one for each, while they wanted one person to do both? A bit fuzzy in my memory, its been too long. When I lived in Perry in 97, there were 6 courses within 20 minutes. 4 were outstanding, 2 were so so.

I'm looking forward to your posts, and others. Great to be back, thanks for the welcome home!

    Hey'a HAMMER-

How in the world have you been? Last I knew, you had just got married, and if my memory serves me, didn't you & the Mrs. have your Honeymoon in Fredricksburg?
I see now you have 2 boys. Congratulations.... there is nothing more special than raising kids. My 3 boys, taught me equally as much (how to be a Father & better person), than all I had to teach them, methinks-

I've been fair, not complaining. My Mom passed on Mother's Day, my only brother's (passed 6 yrs ago), wife was in a car wreck in the Canyons, was hit by truck, broke every bone in her body, had several surgeries on both arms, legs, back, spleen, ribs, lungs were collapsed. Worse was the 5 brain surgeries she required. That happened 1 yr ago last Xmas. She is still in a Convalescent home. She is lucky to be alive, or maybe not, depending on ones viewpoint. I don't mean to sound cruel, but death would of been a relief to her, perhaps. She is not herself & never will be again. Their kids 11 & 14, have been taken under our wing, & other family. Kids, family, its all we have left in the end, other than MLB of course.

On top of all that, I shattered my T-12 & 4 ribs, last April, while I still took care of my Mom. She had CGH (congestive heart failure), COPD, & emphysema, & a ton of other probs, like kyphosis scoliosis of her Cervical Spine. She couldn't swallow much due to that, a slow painful death. Made more painful being 1 of 2 cartakers of hers. Broken, I should of been in bed for a couple months. Life wouldn't allow it.

I realize too well these days, its a blessing to find old friends, which gets harder to find the older one gets...~! So it IS GREAT to see you, as well as Rick, 59, and many others, I recognize, as well as some of the good people who are new to me.

Looks like we got a good thing here in this board. I'm thrilled to be back with you all, until the next pending disaster strikes. I will get through that too in time, when or if it does.

Its awesome seeing old comrades come together. Looking forward to a great season.

Speaking of Tanaka, I've got a telcon with Japan tomorrow evening, had an email from one of the leads on the call saying they had a viewing party at 3am to watch Kuroda, Ichiro, Tanaka and Matsui (apparently he threw bp during pregame warmups).
