And they were not just shooting in Rasks pads either. They were going to the net. Score sucks but I like what I have seen so far

I didnt see much panic in the Boston zone by the Bruins. All that domination and it was a breakaway that led go the only goal.

Boston not panicking doesn't mean that we didn't control play in their zone. Boston isn't a team that panics. Not that type of team. And yes, only goal came off a breakaway, which is why I said it was disappointing that we couldn't score more.

And we had a couple of great chances on top of that. Nash down low. Kreider down low. Miller had two other good chances. So did Cally on the PP.

Again, not sure what game you were watching Al, but we had many good chances and totally out played them. Score tied at 1 though, so the game starts over in the 2nd.

Dominating would be up the goals. As see one little hiccup and the pick in or net.

I don't think the Rangers have ever had a two goal lead on Boston.

So you didn't watch the game. Ok. Dominating does NOT always equal to goals when a team can't finish properly, like this team can't. The chances were there quite a bit, but as usual, they couldn't finish. Score is not always indicative of how a game is going. That's like using +/- to say how good a player is and use to solely evaluate his value to a team.

another thing, as soon as a team gets physical game changes, everything goin rangers way till mike tyson on skates goes after staal, and just like that less then a minute later they score, call it a coincidence?

Which is exactly why I said I was disappointed in the one goal. Great chances, not finished. Motto of this team. But that doesn't take away from the fact that the puck was in Boston's zone for the majority of the period and that the Rangers controlled play for the most part of the period. Boston is a great team, and one mistake will always cost you against them, which is why I posted even before they scored that goal we need to score more despite the great play.

Domination gets standing O's shift after shift. . Didn't hear that during the period. It was a good period but hardly dominating.

Keep playing like in the first period but try to actually aim for a change instead of just letting it go and see what happens.

Oh, there is the issue Al, I figured it out. Unless you are up 2 or 3 goals you wouldn't say domination. We totally out played them and controlled the play in every way. You are simply looking at goals and saying no domination. We are saying the control of play and numbers of chances was way in our favor. You are simply looking at the score.

That's the misunderstanding between us. We totally controlled the play in the 1st, no doubt about it, but the game is tied.

    All good.

At any rate, who cares now. Game is tied 1-1. Here we go.

Same old story against Boston, Rask stones them long enough until their size forces the Rangers into a few mistakes and then they win it in the 3rd.

No. Realism is realizing that the Rangers did dominate that period but, as usual, couldn't put the puck in the net. Shit like that happens all the time with this team. Also, regarding standing ovations, when was the last time the Garden fans have a standing ovation for good offensive zone presence and not for a good PK or chanting "Henrik" when he makes a save? Too many suits at these games now that don't truly understand hockey. But think what you will. If the Bruins have a period like the Rangers did in the first, but wind up only with one goal, and the Rangers have 5 shots, but also score a goal, then you'll agree that Boston didn't dominate the period? I highly doubt that.
