If they are invading to annex, they should be stopped. Nobody expected the US to annex Iraq when we invaded back in 2003. We may still have interests there, but we didn't make them into our vassals. This seems like Russia is trying to put the band back together. It cannot be allowed.

Sanctions? Seriously, that's all you got? That was 6 months after Russia invaded Georgia.

I'm not talking unilaterally. I think NATO and the rest of the world needs to throw the gauntlet down economically. They already have sort of. Russian stocks have plunged and their currency is at an all-time low.

    WHAT????
SON, our stock market fell yesterday and last I checked was down today..Russian economy is in fact more stable than our propped up , BS, government buying trillions of dollars of bonds to support the stock market, false economic lie that also props up a failed presidential agenda..

Ukraine is the one who has had a large portion of its economic base undermined by the governing powers..

I think it will stop with Crimea. Russia doesn't want to loose the most important non arctic port in their empire and the chaos in the Ukraine could cause them issues with that. IF their motives are only to annex Crimea to keep their commerce and military in tact, is it worth a major conflict to keep Crimea part of the Ukraine whey they are primarily Russian ethnicity? Its a power move and a dick move by Putin, but he knows he can get away with it as long as thats all that goes down, thats why I dont see it escalating. Russia has always done shit like this, every conflict they get involved in they swoop in and start claiming shit.

Now on the flip side Russia could be viewing the westernization of a primary buffer state as a major threat, I even read something about western missile defense construction planning, which could make Russia nervous. If this is the case who knows what their full agenda is.

It seems pretty obvious they want to restore the glory of the old days. This kind of aggressive behavior is very concerning. It's the kind of thing that leads to world wars.

Yes, because it's all about Ukraine, just like it was all about Poland in WWII?

You should be. Totalitarian forces are on the march, militarily (Russia), spiritually (Iran) and economically (China). Meanwhile the West is too occupied with obtaining even more entitlements to make our lives more comfortable.
