    Indy would play the Hawks

    Miami would play the Bobcats

    Toronto would play the Nets

    Bulls would play the Wizards

Washington has beaten the Bulls twice this season. 2-0.

This is as of March 3.

I think the Wizards could be a tough matchup for the Bulls. They're not always focused and they don't have a lot of experience, but they could potentially make up for that with better top shelf talent thanks to John Wall.

Nene is supposed to back for the playoffs, and that only adds to their talent base, which is the greatest of any 3-8 seed in the east. So they're not a gimme.

I still like our chances, but that could just be the homer in me.

It looks like the Nets or Wizards are our most likely first round opponent, and I'm currently torn about which one I'd rather face. I haven't watched the Nets enough this season to gauge how much Garnett and Pierce have left in the tank. Tonight might be telling.

Well, in the EC, the other 6 playoff teams figure to be just so much fodder. Of course, you'd rather win the first-round matchup than lose it.

If the basketball gods are taking requests, I'll take the Nets as 1st-round opponents, please.

I probably miscounted, but the Nets record since January 1 is 20-8.

If the playoffs started today it would hopefully be a bit warmer in Chicago right now.
