Celtics' Gerald Wallace will miss remainder of season

Boston Celtics forward Gerald Wallace will miss the remainder of the season after he underwent arthroscopic surgeries on his left knee and his left ankle on Tuesday morning.
Wallace was set to have postseason surgery to correct bone spurs on his left ankle, but an MRI revealed a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to ESPNBoston.com. Wallace has played hard over his career and suffered many injuries, but this is the first time he has ever needed to have surgery in his 13 NBA seasons.

When Brandon Roy played for Minnesota, he got a net raise, even after a little of Paul Allen's payment was reduced. So it would have been possible for Gordon to come out ahead, had he been cut by March 1.

If LeBron wanted, he could score 50 a night. I honestly believe he is so far superior than anybody else in the league that he could!

I never believe stuff like that. If he scored 50 every night, they'd probably never lose so why not do it?

What a shot by LeBron! I feel bad for Durant. Maybe they could make him a 2nd place trophy this year?

Damn. That was exciting. Batman guarded by Superman. Superman wins. And we go to 5th. Hopefully Phoenix beats Clippers.

Just watching the Ws Pacers game. Thompson just hit the go ahead shot with .6 left......as they walked back to the bench all you could hear was coaches AND players saying over and over....."NO LOBS......NO LOBS!"

Must have watched our game against the Lakers!

    PHX beats OKC 128-122.

OKC is 3-4 since Westbrook returned.

The NBA has problems it needs to fix

Too many teams are tanking on purpose and it's a horrible product. This Lakers/Clippers game is a joke.

The second is scheduling issues. Teams on a b2b/3rd game in 4 nights lose way too much, and the teams are tired as well which leads to a bad product.

The NBA could be a lot better than it is. Fewer games, less teams is a start. Hard salary cap and non-guaranteed contracts as well, but those just won't happen.

I hope we kick the shit out of the Clippers next time we play them. I really hate that team.

I don't often agree with you but when I do, it's about the crap administration of the best sport in America.

This Clippers game playing on the Lakers court is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Games over after three quarters. Must be the "home court" advantage.

TWO things that have the biggest impact on the quality of the games are, 1.refereeing 2.scheduling. The Blazers schedule in March is downright ridiculous. They don't go a day without playing a game.

Without a doubt the NBA's got some tough choices to make if it wants to improve the quality of play up to the level of the NFL.

Another thing that's a total joke in the NBA right now is the bottom half of the Eastern Conference. I can't tell if they're tanking, or really that bad.

In either case, I think there are probably only 5-6 teams that deserve to make the playoffs out of the East.

That's why I think the NBA should just take the top 16 teams, rather than the top 8 in each conference. Then, if it's seeded purely on record, you get something like this:

    1.) Indiana v. Minnesota
    8.) Golden State v Phoenix

    4.) Miami v Chicago
    5.) Houston v Toronto

    2.) OKC v. Brooklyn
    7.) LA Clippers v Dallas

    3.) San Antonio v Washington
    6.) Portland v Memphis

I think you still wind up with an Indiana - Oklahoma City final, but I'd love seeing Miami having to battle against Houston on their way to a semi-final against the Pacers. Or could Indiana get a scare matching up against the Warriors or Suns in the second round? Who knows - the scary matchup could go against the West, too, with the young Wizards maybe upsetting the old men of San Antonio?

Just tired of the Eastern Conference sleepwalk in the first round. Boring.

Clippers escape with a 109-108 win at home against Atlanta. Didn't the Blazers just clobber ATL?

In order to do that, you need to equalize the schedule, though. Otherwise it's imbalanced one way or the other. I'm more a fan of doing away with divisions in conferences, and spreading out the schedule within each conference while still having 2 games/year against the teams from the opposing conference.

Yep. By Kingspeed's logic, that'd be season over. Win or lose, if you can't beat up on a team like Atlanta, you lose the rest of the season. But if you win, you're a contender.
