I thought there was a shot we might bring Gabs back this offseason. Wont happen after the St. Louis deal

Really like that trade for the Kings. The catch is that Gabby needs to be healthy by end of year and into the playoffs.

Frattin, a 2nd and 3rd isn't bad though. I think its a good move for LA. You know he hated Columbus, I bet he plays well for LA down stretch/playoffs

Wow. hour and 15 left and still a few big players like vanek that have to be traded yet. Wonder what the prices come down to. Should be a flea market now. Lets go slats. still some work to be done.

why so? the past few years he's been durable and right now is just out with a fluke-ish collarbone injury. No reason to believe he can't come back this year.

Kopitar/Gabby line should be fun to watch.

it would be 2 first round picks back to back years. One being considered a very deep draft. You can always use picks to trade up in the first round but that usually includes your original 1st rounder.

Al, the draft is a crapshoot and we'll be drafting toward the back of it. We have prospects coming and we've been successful with picks later in the draft. And theres always the possibility of trading for some additional picks as we go either today or before the draft

think we gave up way to much. you say the draft is a crapshoot and we need to win now. unless there is another big move this doesn't put us over the top.

Al, Nobody knows what does or doesn't put us over the top until we get there. We have a great goalie, solid D and have added an impact scorer to the team. We are in better shape now than we were yesterday. Its time to make a run now. Although, I will admit another move and we still have time would be nice.

St Louis will be a very good player the next 2 years IMO and a good player for 2 years after. I have no problem with the deal. If we end up giving up 2 #1's its because we are in ECF or the Finals

don't get me wrong, I know that Martin is a big upgrade from Cally and I think we have enough depth to make up for his "intangibles" I just think the size factor has not been answered with this trade hopefully I am wrong and him and Richards will turn back the clock and lead us.

I would agree another move needs to be made in next 30 minutes to maximize St Louis trade

That's why they need to push hard for Kesler here. If not then maybe send prospect/pick to Buff for Stewart.

I like Stewart because he is physical. I would love for them to try and get Moulson
