A buddy of mine checked it out before and after Monday's game and said it's awesome. http://www.nba.com/blazers/dr-jacks
Is that place open all the time or just on game days? That whole area just blows when there is nothing going on and I work right in the area. :\
"The restaurant will open at 4:30 p.m. on event days and stay open until about an hour after events end. It has about 9,000 square feet of space and a capacity to hold 400 patrons." http://www.oregonlive.com/blazers/i...ers_dub_revamped_rose_quarter_restaurant.html
Oh nice. I am glad its not open all the time, it'd go under quickly. It's in the same place that you would go to for Hops and Hoops, if I'm looking at the pictures right.
I have to applaud the Blazers for being classy in this matter. Dr. Jack Ramsey gave Portland it's only NBA championship back in 1977. Dr. Jack Ramsey was 88 when he had to retire from the game in the payoffs just this last year. On May 10th, 2013, Ramsey announced he would immediately start medical treatment for cancer. I am happy for both the Blazers and Jack Ramsey that they are honoring him while still living. I am sure that if Ramsey was healthy he would have came to the restaurant to see it for himself. I thought that Coach Stotts was classy as well by wearing a plaid jacket, resemblance of one "THEE" Dr. Jack would wear. Salute to "THEE" Dr. Jack.
Pfft. Have you seen the costs in Vegas (granted this is PDX), but the point is, people will pay almost anything for alcohol nowadays, specially at "events".
Checked out the menu. It has a few carts? Is it like that old pre-drinking area back in the day where its in a non-descript kind of warehouse-y kind of room? But with a few food carts? that old place where you can drink pre-game was just a bit depressing. wish they put a Yardhouse or something like that right there.
