Re: Lakers Wavie Von Wafer & J.R. Pinnock <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 26, 2006 - The Los Angeles Lakers have requested waivers on guards Von Wafer and J.R. Pinnock, it was announced today.Wafer averaged 1.3 points in seventeen games last season after being selected in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft with the Lakers 39th pick overall. The 6-5 guard out of Florida State played in only one preseason game this October before sitting out the remainder of the preseason with a bruised left heel. Pinnock, an early entry candidate out of George Washington, was acquired by the Lakers on draft night after sending a 2007 second round draft pick acquired from Miami to Dallas in exchange for the draft rights to Pinnock (58th overall). The 6-5 guard averaged 14.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.5 steals in earning First Team All Atlantic-10 honors as a junior last season. In seven preseason games with the Lakers, Pinnock averaged 1.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 12.3 minutes.</div>http://www.nba.com/lakers/news/0607_waivers.htmlGood Riddance, this was bound to happen...Wafer isn't going to get to play anyway and Pinnock played pretty bad in the pre-season. That leaves us with 16 players and one more player to cut. I say cut Green now. Mckie gives us that veteran leadership and just has a better understanding of the game. I'm not even sure why I'm just not a fan of Green.
Re: Lakers Wavie Von Wafer & J.R. Pinnock I say keep Green.... and cut McKie.... whos worthless since hes injuried all the time

Re: Lakers Wavie Von Wafer & J.R. Pinnock Wafer was raw and he could shoot though. Rally don't see the point of Mckie on the team.
