People have not been giving Tim Duncan the credit he deserves lately. People are saying that because he had a bit worse season last year that he's on the decline. I give that a big hell no. Tim Duncan suffered through injuries last year and never decided to give it a rest. He has had a full summer of rest and work, and he is really in excellent shape. But I'm telling you right now, Tim Duncan will return to form this year. It's time you guys start giving him the credit he deserves.By the way CB4, about our matchup in the debate contest, when I chose Malone as the best PF of all-time, I made a big mistake. I will honestly say that I completely forgot about Duncan, for whatever reason. I had to continue to go along with Malone after I made that opening post though. I honestly can not believe how dumb I was to do that. But I'll take it like a man and I will admit that I screwed up, and you deserved to win on account of my stupidity lol.

I believe Duncan bounced back so to speak against the Mavericks in the 2nd round of the playoffs. But I think he's on the decline, why? Because he's getting older and I don't see him reaching another level or peak in his career. He's basically reached it and there's only one way left for him to go, down. Doesn't mean he won't put up numbers, I just see him being Mr. Consistent.

I honestly think he is going to have a great season. All I have heard this offseason is how hard he has been working and that he is getting in to so called "great shape". Well, I sure hope that this is all true because the Spurs are going to need it. He had alot of time to rest this summer and work on his game and his series agaisnt Dallas was amazing. He was the best player in that series and it was unfortunate that they lost. I see him returning to his old self and I see him putting up around 21 and 11 with 2 and a half blocks.

I see Duncan being the same as last few years. Nothing great but good enough for the spurs to be championship contenders. Parker is the man on offense now though.

Yep, he had a nagging heel injury. I forget the name of it though. It was bothering him all season, and he was slower running up and down the court, and he probably got fatigues easily. This year, he will definately have a better season than last year, and the Spurs are once again a contender for the title.

Great interior defense and team defense. Great post defense. Automatic championship contender with him on the squad. But to you that isn't great. Dirk on the other hand scores and pretty much doesn't do anythig else outstanding. Can rebound but for a 7 footer could be better. Post up game is laughable, dude can't back down Caron butler. Isn't a shotblocker. Isn't a anchor on Defense. Chokes in the nba finals. But to you that's great [IMG] So really, your definition of greatness is skewed. You don't know what great is.
