If any team has had our number this year, it's Memphis. They've now trottled us twice. No other team has done is.

The question is, what's their secret?

I like sports, for the drama, the thrill of victory the agony of defeat yada yada. We aren't entitled as fans to always have a great team. This team has made significant strides in the Post Roy/Oden losing 2 franchise players for nada apocalypse.

Glad you're not serious. The team won 6 of 7 before this very tough road trip. They've lost to two teams who are desperately playing for their playoff lives and to Houston who I think has the best record in the NBA since the allstar break. It's been rough mostly due to choking down the stretch against Dallas & Houston, but it's not the end of the world. This team has too much character & heart and togetherness to quit. Not time to panic, but it is time to start stepping up their game and finish strong, because the playoffs aren't a forgone conclusion unless Phoenix keeps falling.

If they make the playoffs, no matter who they play is going to be tough, so all I care about is health, making the playoffs, and getting hot at the right time. And if the Blazers are on we know how good they can be.

At the beginning of the year, if you were told the Blazers would be 42-22, 5th place in the West, and barring a major collapse, make the playoffs and have a decent chance of a first round series win, how would you feel, and be honest?

I would have been thrilled, and am still thrilled. I don't expect instant titles.

Can't say that I don't understand where the OP is coming from but it's not something that I would do but it's starting to look like Portland not getting to the second round of the playoffs is going to extend to 0-15.

I'm sure we could list things that were told to us weren't going away and now are defunct... Social media will be ousted at some point with something better (albiet maybe even more annoying and intrusive)... and I am on twitter. lol.

Using a # on the social media it functions with = ok. Using a fucking # when it is completely superfluous = Nerd King. Like someone is trying too hard to be trendy and cool. It's stupid, worthless and a waste of pixels.

I believe the Blazers social media agenda is to get the fans more involved. I think the use of hashtags allows people to chat and come together on certain topics like you would here in a thread. Doesn't bug me, cause I'm too busy. Quit bitchin' and get a hobby. #Knowledge

A noble gesture indeed. Of course, you'll still be on the couch with a big bag of cheezy puffs, you'll just be watching a different channel.

I never get this response. Why would someone have the same expectations before the season started than after. Doesn't everyone adjust their expectations as the season goes on or are we to base how we feel the team is doing based on our projections of the team before they even play one game and have a bunch of new players.

That statement could easily be spun into, after more than a third of the season when the Blazers were 24-5 and had wins over OKC, Indy, Houston and LAC and in first or second place in the West . . . if you were told the Blazers would be 42-22 and 5th place and not going to get HCA, how would you feel, and be honest?

I'm not terribly disappointed in the Blazers because I never thought they were contenders this year. But as it stands right now, given they way the season has progressed . . . personally I'm not happy or satisfied with 42-22.
