    The obvious answer, since we are the 'official' forum of the Trail Blazers, is that every player puts their favorite poster's moniker on their jersey. I can't believe Blazer marketing won't hire me.

    A great innovation would be to militarize the uniforms. Starters, like officers, would wear rank on their shoulders. Substitutes, like enlisted men, would wear rank on their upper arms.

    Insignia could be developed separately for each team at first so as to encourage innovation. This would provide ideas to the Commissioner as to which teams could be fined for their insignia. After making money this way for a few years, the Commissioner would follow his Commissioner DNA instincts and standardize all insignia league-wide, eliminating shiny buttons, both silver and gold, along with pink ruffles. Feathers would now be limited to 6 inches.

    This would certainly make it easier for the refs to know who to call fouls on and who to let get away with murder in the heat of the action.

    I'd like to see a team go in the complete opposite direction and remove the name from the jersey entirely, like some college teams. Make it about the team, rather than the individual.

    It's a really stupid idea. I think the Blazers, as a way to mock the NBA, instead of putting their nicknames on their jerseys, should put the nicknames they give their penises.

    Of course, "Purple-Helmeted Warrior of Love" would be tough to fit on the back of an NBA jersey... Also, it would be confusing, because every single Blazer would want the same nickname: "Oden".
