I just think that every on duty officer should be wearing a camera, especially if they are carrying a gun.
i think this sometimes too, but then think of all the times they would maybe find a joint on someone and say "get the hell out of here, and get your shit together, stoner!", but now they would have to bust them
Well first off all Ive never been let off for that, but now in Oregon its just a medical card away anyway. I assume that the video would only be reviewed if there was a complaint or some sort of incident. I read that the UK is doing this with their armed officers as a way to maintain accountability for their actions. I think their officer complaints are way down since this started also. Ive also read that cops are the main people to oppose these measure, makes you wonder why? This would also protect the cops from false accusations. Disclaimer, Im a little bitter about this issue because I got beat up and thown in the drunk tank years ago buy some cops on fat tuesday for drinking my beer on the sidewalk. Before cell phone camera's were everywhere, all I could do was lay on the ground and yell "someone help me I am not resisting", the attack only stopped when some guy with a video camera showed up and and started yelling "they are Rodney Kinging this fool". I would have loved to have access to that officers field cam for my complaint. As it was they just gave me the run around and refused to give me any info, including his name or badge number, because "I wasnt arrested I was just too intoxicated to know what was going on, so shut the fuck up". I blew 0.090 at the tank. Fucking power tripping little short cop, he even got in the patrol car with me after everything settled down, and before the paddy wagon showed up, and said "how do you like me now" with a big smirk.

Those are just the crimes Metro commits themselves.......zing! But seriously, you want nothing to do with Las Vegas Metro, let alone cops from Henderson. They have a well earned rep. A few years ago Metro shot a handcuffed piece of shit in the back and killed him while he was running away. Notice I said piece of shit because he probably was. Legally the police have the right to do that here. Morally it was reprehensible.
