tough loss is right, credit the splash brothers though, they took this game over in the 4th qtr and won the rebound battle in the 2nd half. Nico got us back in it but just choked in the end. He had a great game though

They're going to make the playoffs. And they still have enough to do damage. Hang in there with them. They have one month of preparation or them. It's possible they pull a 90-91 Blazer team and win 17 in a row. Not likely. But possible.

Batum does this often--shooting way too early in the clock near the end of games. It's because he wants to lead and be the Big Cheese when he doesn't have the talent to pull it off. The story of his career. Stop acting like a guard, stop darting around because you can't hold your ground, stand still like a man and learn how to drive the ball into the guts of the defense.

I don't think Portland is really playing that much worse during these last few months, it's just that they are not pulling out games at the end. They were so clutch in 2013, now it's just like....are you kidding me, blowing another close game. We should at least be able to do 50/50 on these things.

To begin with, our guys need to be able to stay with their man.

Just keep in mind. We have one month of preparation ahead. Anything is possible.

Not time for you to throw in the towel.

One month of preparation for what? Our big playoff run? Do you seriously think this team is getting out of the 1st round? Lol

i have the hope that team plays in the playoffs different game.. so the firstround opponent is all the same.. give us the hardest matchup that we can have.. i see this team gives the 1 seed a first round knockout.. i believe in this team.. all the way...

Staying with their man would help the overall defense rather than going under the screen and getting torched by their 3-pt shooters.

The Warriors ramped up their defense with that fundamental concept. They don't have great D, but they were able to pester our players into a 4th quarter collapse.

Let me repeat: 21-20 in our last 41 games. That's half a season worth of mediocre ball. If it wasn't for our fluke hot start we would be out of the playoff picture right now. Go ahead and bump this thread if I'm wrong, but this team is going nowhere this year. What I've learned about the Blazers is to temper your expectations, and temper them well.

I would have to respectfully disagree.

They've showed me enough this year to think if they are ready to play and are prepared they can do damage.

I think the only solution is hiring a defensive minded coach... but it's hard to argue not keeping Stotts and his #1 ranked offense but we are basically a George Karl team right now.

This will be the best solution (assistant coach) for next season.
