I stand by my trade proposal. Something like Nash for King, Toffoli and Forbort. The Kings are offensively challenged. I can easily see them offering up a package like that. If the Rangers have to add Dorsett and a prospect like Allen, so be it. As bad as the Rangers offense can be at times, it's still better than the Kings on most nights.

the Kings probably would just sign Gaborik to an extension than trade for Nash who has 4yrs left after this season @ almost $8m cap hit. Do agree he has been very disappointing this season but playing with Mr. Overrated Stepan cannot help, but that's not an excuse as he has the type of talent where he should make his linemates.

And because of that mentality, I will bet you anything that Gaborik was elated to leave this organization.

holy shit player has a bad season and everybody jumping ship and want to trade him? you guys are nuts, how can we build a team if we keep trading our players every year, doesn't make sense, NASH needs to stay here, and listen i know hes played like poo besides that stretch but its ok. Sometimes it takes time ESPECIALLY after a serious concussion.

Thats the problem he has never been the same since his concussion and he plays like a pussy because he is scared one more hit (doesnt even need to be a serious hit) could be his last, He has the eric lindros system where after his concussion he never was the same.

with that being said i say keep him let him try to figure things out, try to build players around him that he does well against, but its going to take more then ONE player to carry a team, its not fair to put all the blame on him,

do you know what great teams have in common (boston, st louis, pitts)?? anybody?? they can score with 4 lines, something we NEVER been able to do, untill we can score with all 4 lines we will never contend for a cup, so instead of trying to blame it all on nash lets take a step back and smell the coffee.... He makes a lot of money but honestly even if he scores 45 goals in a seasons WE STILL WOULDN'T CONTEND. in the playoffs there are defensemen that shut down everybody, just look at chara who shuts down crosby, and if he can shut down crosby do you think hes going to shut down nash, most definitely. so you guys are all very mad right now that the rangers are struggling and believe me im upset too but trading nash is not going to do anything, we can't trade for picks and let hank suffer. he will demand a trade.

On top of that, Nash has a NTC and I am sure would not go to a place like Edmonton.

Even without Nash's NTC, EDM has enough bad long term contracts to take on another $8M/yr cap hit.

Nash had a terrible playoffs and a bad season. You left that out. Sather completely f'd up nothing ridding this team of Boyle, Dorsett and Stralman for whatever he could get. I think Sather actually has gotten lazy now. Time to retire.
