This sounds more like straw grasping than a reality.

The article says he may consider retirement if they make the playoffs. Haha. chances get slimmer by the game.

The only good thing this man has done in his 14 years is trade for Mcd.

I'm trying to not think about but it's hard not to. Wasn't the rumor in 2011 he was retiring in 2013. The McD had turned out to be unbelievable. Gomez for him straight up was ridiculous. We also got Gabby for 3 years on top of it. Thanks Mtl.

He is like almost every star we seem to bring here to NY, has a lot of success elsewhere...comes here and is clueless.

Good. I had enough of him. I gave up on him after he didn't move Stralman, Boyle or Dorsett for picks or toughness at the deadline. Don't know if Messier can be a GM but I do believe one thing. Messier doesn't like soft players. The team will not be soft with Messier as the GM.

This report dosen't really make much sense. So if they simply "make" the playoffs but lose in Rd 1 he'd be looking to retire, but if they just miss he definately would stay? I could see if they won it all, but otherwise the correlation is strange.
