I seriously don't know how that team made the nba finals. It just shows you talent alone can take you places. Phil in the book showed bias. He didnt' attack shaq even though shaq was the guy yelling in TC 'Pay me" and getting surgery in company time. My favourite quote <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Shaquille won't allow himself to be taped before a game by Gary Vitti because he's too aligned with Kobe. Kobe won't let Chip Schaefer, Shaq's guy, tape him.</div>

    I'm about to buy this book on Amazon...Those extracts were quite enticing.

    I like how the SI excerpt gives an excerpt that makes it sound like Kobe let the division go against the Kings for his own gain...without mentioning he hit buzzerbeater in the last game of the season to send it to OT, and then another buzzer beater in OT to win the division...

    I loved the book. Read it back in April, 2005. Lots of great and interesting stories about the year. He DID make Kobe out to look like a jacka$$. I don't know if it's in one of those 2 articles, but near the beginning of the book Phil tells of a story where Kobe blasted him in practice. Those kinds of things from the past shouldn't have been put in the book.But great book, I reccomend it to everyone.

    I bet Phil still thinks the same but 30 mil for 3 years is way to hard to say no to. He's gone after next season. [​IMG]
