It's not Lundqvist it's the slow, small defense that let's other teams set up a tent in front of him.

Yes, and he hasn't been great most of the year, but tonight and lately he's been hung out to dry by defense that gives up wide open shots.

I don't know how much they can even correct it at this point, they are what they are defensively, luckily they have a solid goaltending combo. Big 3 game stretch coming up.

Philly is playing so far over their heads it's unbelievable. That team is not that good.

Philly has talent dump. They have very good deep forwards we all know that. Mason is a solid goalie. 100 times better than Bryz. Not great but solid (which is what that team needed). And on D they made some solid moves adding Streit and MacDonald from the Isles. Is their D great...no, but it is better with those two guys, Schenn, Coburn, and Timo.

Philly is a good team. We agree to disagree on that one. IF we can finish ahead of CBJ we will open at Philly in the 2/3 matchup (Friday night at CBJ will go a long way to deciding the 3 spot in the Met).

Man, it's a lot quieter on this board when the team wins. What a coincidence :)

and agree with Chuck. I think Philly is a solid team.

Ottawa goalies and their D stink without Anderson. Looks like that's the reason why they have stunk this year. If Anderson played yesterday it would've been a different story. Now go out and beat the Blue Jackets. And yes Philly seems to be a solid team. The coaching change did wonders for them.

2 things happened last night that never happens to this team

    1) They got some soft goals on the opposing goalie from bad angles. Some of those goals were horrible goals to give up
    2) The puck of Stepan's skate even though there wasn't a "distinct kicking motion" counted. LOL Those always go against this team

Good to see Nash get the shorty and EN goal. He is very very streaky we need him to be good down the stretch. The defense looked like utter crap most of the game but its all about points right now and seeing them score goals in bunches is good.

St Louis needs a goal bad. He has a piano on his back and when he gets his first I think he will break out.

They may have the best 2-4 dmen in the league, but no #1 and nobody with offensive flair which holds them back. If they could get a Yandle or Phaneuf type it would take them to a different level.
