You bring up a good point that some a$$hats fail to recognize. Dorrell is a solid defender. He's active and has length.

When he's doing his job, and only shooting open three's, we''ve got a prototypical 3 and D guy that fits perfectly with Stotts scheme.

Dorell Wright has another strong game when in the starting lineup.

Who was guarding him? I wonder if it's less that he's starting and more that he's our PF; as the PF in a lineup of "holy crap gotta guard this guy" guys, the power forward guarding him is all "shit, I don't wanna go out there all the time, it'll fuck up my rebounding!" so bang, kapow.

Good on him for totally taking advantage of that!

I'm just glad to see Dorell coming into his game going into the playoffs. Better to be cold early in the season and start heatin up about now. He's got game

People were saying Dorell wasn't playing well up until this point in the season because Dorell wasn't playing well up until this point in the season. That he's contributing now is awesome. It would be helpful if he can keep it up in the playoffs.

Time to trade Aldridge. He's expendable now :devilwink:

You're right. I bet we could get Oden back, AND Martell, AND Luke!

OK, then how about Jarrett Jack? We could put him in one corner and Martell in the other, iso-Lillard, and they could simultaneously step out of bounds.

That sample size is just way too small for to believe the Dorell defense thing. Just doesn't pass the eye test. And the DRTG stat is inherently flawed in my mind (because it has a lot to do with how the 9 other players on the court at the same time can impact the game).

As mentioned prior, I'd much rather Claver play in his place. Only thing I see Wright giving us is the occasional hot night from 3. Everything else Claver can give us is sustainable night in and night out. I think that will be invaluable in the playoffs if Terry trusts him.

You know I really wouldn't mind getting Martell Webster back.

Last night DW put the ball on the floor and made some shots attacking the basket. Had another play where he was running across the baseline and Batum found him with an (ill advised) bounce pass. Dorell took a hard dribble as the defense cleared and finished with his left hand. We've seen some flat out blooper reel plays from Dorell when he's trying to create too much, but he's showing enough dribble/drive to keep defenses from just running at him at the 3pt line. Still makes me nervous though.

Despite the obvious sarcasm, yes, it is about time to trade Aldridge. Not because of Wright, but because of Robinson/Freeland/Claver. Sign another established PF for a fraction of LMA's salary and we're set at PF. Put the rest of that money into a position that's more pivotal to championships.

Pretty much any other position! ;)
Typically I'd say SG but there really aren't any great SGs in the league currently. So, PG/C. I'd consider moving Dame to SG if we got a great PG.
And as much as I hate the idea, LMA for Melo would be [sigh] acceptable I suppose...though I think much more unlikely now that Phil is with NYK. If the talk about LBJ leaving MIA starts heating up that'd obviously be the best case scenario. LMA+CJ+Leonard for LBJ!
But really, spreading that $18M around rather than dumping it into one basket seems to be the best option if we can't get someone who actually deserves to make $18M per year.
