I am not sure if there is a thread on this already or not, but I am making this one to bring it back if there is or start the disscussion if there isn't.First off my view on drinking is simple. It is one of the stupidest things someone could choose to do. Period. Kids these days are starting to drink younger and younger. I hear of 7th and eighth graders drinking already. It is a ridiculous thought to me. My point is, why drink? I don't understand it. Maybe it is because I don't do it, but I am never going to start. I want to hear from someone who does drink. Someone explain the reasoning behind it, and why you risk the chances to become an alchoholic.
Well I don't see the point in drinking at all until you're at least 18, because it's stupid. I remember last year our schools QB was drunk and ran his car into some people's house. It's pointless and can lead to severe consequences.
Drinking does this: (and im not talking about casual dinner wine, I am talking about what people usually do to have fun...get very wasted)Makes you look like an idiot.Makes you think you are the best when you're really not.Makes you sick, throwing up, and many risks of getting alcohol poisoning and die. Most likely to get in to accidents.Kills your liver, other cells and poisons you. (ethanol is a poison)You might pass out if you drink too much. and probably manymore.
So far seem to be straight edge responses towards alcohol. Although, I know for sure there are people on here who do consume alcohol. My stance is similar with the ones already mentioned.
Well I'm a drinker, I like to drink but I know my limits. drinking until I barf is not something I enjoy, yes it may be fun at first and every women looks like Marilyn Monroe but I still don't like revisiting last nights dinner later on.I've always thought Alchohol should be sold to anyone over 21, but if a parent chosesn to let their teenage drink under their supervision it should be legal. doing it that way would really limit the number of alchohol involved incidents.

As in a parent supervising their children when drinking.
Im 16 and I drink maybe once a year...you know big party or usually small parties. But we dont do it to the point we're wasted...I only do it for a different but strong taste. Never been drunk in my life though.
Theres nothing wrong with drinking a sensible amount, maybe a glass of beer or something with food, but drinking until you could possibly die of choking on your own vomit is just wrong...I used to drink but not anymore only the bad boys drink alcohol, 'cause their "cool"
I have to admit I love drinking. I use it in a positive way. For example I reward myself drinking every time I achieve a goal of some sort. Music is 10X more enjoyable to listen to when you are drinking. Only if you abuse drinking that bad things happen. Don't drive is the number one rule to drinking.
I'm known to knock back a few beers. Increasingly having a few drinks is becoming somewhat of a rarity for me. I still hold my liquor like a champ and am a pretty good drunk. I would never drink and drive, not even one. When I was younger I got loaded up and drove a bunch so now I figure karma owes me one so I never ever tempt fate.
Drinking a lot when your younger effects the brain because it's still developing...etc...That's part of the reason why the drinking age is 21 years old. I am 19 and don't drink. Only have once.
I'm a pretty big drinker. I grew up with a family of alcoholics though so I know when and how to quit IMO. Nothing better then kickin back with a beer and watching the game.

Combs did you ever get in the live yahoo voice chats? Me and WDTB got all gooned up and had a riot on that thing. You know how to get a dog to stop humping your leg?
