I think Paul's great, The Blazers are lucky to have him. I just wish the guy was a little bit more of a risk taker. Put just a little bit of Bob Whitsitt in him.

Sorry Sly got to call BS on that there is a reason people flock to new stadiums and it is not because the team is magically better.

Huh? Maybe once to check it out but they won't return if the team sucks. People don't go to stadium and arenas because they are fans of the facilities. They go because they are fans of a team.

Do you have any old Rose Garden t-shirts or Moda Center t-shirts you can send Cmeese? According to him that's what fans really care about. No one cares about the Blazers or if they win.

I remember the other night at the game when everyone started cheering,

    Mo-Da Cen-Ter!
    Clap! Clap! ClapClapClap!

We didn't even care about the game, we were just happy to be there.

I'm going to miss the club level buffet. It's really convenient to go early, eat before (and during) the game. It's a nice night out. Much better than trying to eat somewhere else before hand, or paying too much for whatever they have to offer in the concourse.

People who care about basketball care about the team, new stadiums attract a lot more casual fans to the arena because it is new fancy or the cool place to hang out. Just look how packed the Marlins stadium was, people in Miami went there cause it was the new hot spot not because they care about the team.

The all you can eat screwed me out of $300 once. A friend won club seats and called me and my buddy knowing we are die hard fans and offered us the tickets, until their cheap asses learned there was all you can eat and decided to go. I was so excited for the return of the przybilla I went on craigslist and had to buy row B 100 levels right behind the blazer bench.

I have to reiterate, do you ever not complain about things?

Think of this as better for your health. If you were drinking $20+ worth of soda in 3 hour period, you've got some issues.

$30/person seems more than reasonable to me-- even with the inflated arena food prices.

$30 on food, beverages and merchandise. Am assuming it's just $30 gift card every time. So instead of the food there, you can get a hot dog and a couple of beers if you want. Also can combine them, I am guessing, and get a new replica jersey like every other game or a new shirt or something. I've only sat there once, but I think I'd prefer the voucher system personally.

Except it is pay 20 dollars to get 30 not get 30 free with these seats that used to offer free food.

Hopefully it is a gift card and not a voucher that is only valid for that particular game. Even then the 30 for 20 bucks does not make paying for club seats worth the additional price. Especially when you consider the in stadium inflation.

A champagne room at the Moda would be pretty popular.
