Here is what I want today.

Philly to finally lose a game AND for us to show some killer instinct, put our foot on the Devs throat, play a great game tonight, and get a big 2 points (and pretty much end the Devs season).

I would love to see that. Show me something tonight. Come out and pound the Devs. Take 2nd in the Met back for the moment.

Then we get some very winnable games up next, with Philly in our placed mixed in.

Look at those next 9 games after tonight. We have no excuse not to go 7-2 in those games. Philly and at the Avs are the only lock playoff teams (Phoenix is the lower WC out West but is also under .500 on the road).

If we can win our 3rd straight tonight, and 4th in 5, that would set us up great to finish on a high note (only game missing above is at Montreal...our last game).

Let's show something tonight and come out on fire.

Flyers just don't lose. I know this sounds crazy, but you can argue we'd rather play the Pens than the Flyers, especially since it appears we'd open at Philly and they would have home ice.

I am just not that impressed with Pitt this season. Plus you always have the MAF factor in the playoffs with them.

At this point I will say I think the Flyers are a better team than the Pens, and I rather play them than open up in Philly (even today TB was able to get a point at Pitt). Plus Philly is great at home, and I always felt if we played Philly in round 1 the team with home ice would win the series, and right now it looks like they will be 2 in the Met.

Maybe the place to be is the first WC instead of 3 in the Met. Not sure, but it is up for discussion at this point, and that would have been crazy to think a few weeks ago. The Flyers have been that good IMO.

We just need to win tonight and get this roll really going. If we can do that, coupled with our next 9 games, we can really lock down a playoff spot and head in on a good streak for sure. After last night it does appear the 3 spot in the Met is ours for the taking, especially if we win tonight.

And with Toronto struggling, worst case we should be the top WC now I believe.

And BTW...of course Detroit will win at Minny today I am sure, how it goes for us...LOL.

I think we want Montreal to win at Toronto tonight for sure. Let Boston, TB, Montreal finish 1-3 in the Atlantic.
Us and CBJ battle for the 3 spot in the Met.
The "loser" of that battle for the 3 spot in the Met battles Detroit and Toronto for the 2 WC spots (2 of 3 teams get in). I don't buy the Caps as a true player in that battle for a WC spot (let's hope the Caps lose at SJ tonight...coupled with a win by us tonight and we can say goodbye to the Caps).

To me things are taking shape like I just mentioned if Montreal wins tonight. Let's go Habs tonight.

And the Wings win. Today's early update:

    Flyers...WIN.
    Wings...WIN.
TB...gets a point at Pitt (we don't really care that much about TB anymore anyway though).

Good times keep on rolling for us...:).

    Just win baby!!!

You can look at it this way, with everybody in contention winning, the Rangers know they can't mail anything in and will come out swinging. If last night's game in any indication, I think they're going for it ... I hope anyway.

It's too bad Moore has a concussion, but I'm looking forward to seeing if Diaz can give them a little more offense on the backend. Dorsett is out as well which isn't a bad thing, Carcillo is better at this point. I thought they should give Haggerty a shot but maybe they don't feel comfortable yet.

It's almost like it doesn't matter who the teams we are battling play....They just keep winning.

Gotta feed off last nights win and finish NJ tonight.

I get all the Flyers games where I am. I'll say it again. They aren't that good. They are playing way over their head. If you don't see them play every game you wouldn't know that. Their players are dumb and are undisciplined. All you have to do is run at a couple of their guys, agitate and they will completely lose their cool every time. People forget the last time we played them the Rangers missed at least 4 open nets. People talked about how the Flyers hit the Rangers. Again, the Rangers missed at least 4 open nets.

I believe we are going to find out if you are right dump. Pretty solid chance Philly is 2 in the Met and we are 3 in the Met at the moment. Which means we'd open in Philly.

Then we'll see if Philly is just playing way over their heads, or if they are truly a very good team, which is what I believe (not as good as they have been playing, but very good, and not an easy series for us especially with them getting home ice...a winnable series if we play well, but not an easy series at all).

Philly is big, slow and stupid. Those teams are always exposed in the playoffs.

Every team has a year of peaks and valleys, highly unlikely Philly will continue their current level of play into postseason. I'd much rather see the Rangers play Philly than the Pens, the Pens play with the officials in their pocket come playoff time, not the case for the Flyers. Bottom line is the Rangers have to take care of their own business, can't count on other teams for help.
