When drafted, I could not see a significant upside (or NBA-ready comparison) to the Celtics' rookie center. He has decent hands, a soft touch, can make scoring opportunities for others, and a decent outside look. Olynyk looks to be a solid chemistry guy and gets along fairly capably within the system that Stevens has created for his young 7-footer. On draft night, I saw him as a seventh man with little potential for upward mobility. It would appear that if the trajectory set this season continues, he will be a starting center in the NBA on a regular basis. While that's no mean feat, it certainly doesn't make him a world-beater. What role will he be best utilized? Where does his skill set work to the fullest?
