We'll disagree Step. I think home ice is huge in that series. Philly is excellent at home. You want that game 7 in your place...that will be a long hard series, most likely 7 games...I want it at MSG.

And I am not concerned about getting in sc, that is done. With these 2 tonight, unless we fall apart we are in. Playoff % was 95% into tonight, and now it went up. We are in the playoffs barring a total collapse. Now I want the best situation, and that is home ice round 1 against Philly, who were are going to play almost for sure IMO.

Plane tickets are high to Edmonton because no one goes there. It is not a highly traveled route. The more traveled the better the chance the tickets are cheaper. That is usually how plane tickets work.

I dont worry about home ice.. 1. One of thr best road records in the league and....2. We have a goalie who has pitched a shutout in a road game 7

Al I hear you, but getting a game 7 at home is a very good thing. Plus you guys under value Philly's home record and over value how well we have played on the road. We are 0-2 in Philly this season.

Not saying we couldn't win a game there, but to act as if home ice or not...no biggie...I just disagree with you guys. It is very important IMO. I want the win Wed to put us in the clear drivers seat for home ice.

Edmonton was once great. More storied franchise. It would be cool to walk in the same city where all those great teams played

Would people really rather play a 7 game series with Philly WITHOUT having a potential game 7 at home???? I get they have been better at home but that is crazy to me

Amen Dis. These guys are all crazy tonight...LOL. To act as if oh home ice...no big deal...whatever...is nutty to me. This is a big game for home ice round 1. We want the home ice fellas, don't under value that.

Every win is just closer to the playoffs, and a good chance the Rangers miss the Bruins in the first round.

If they can earn it, home ice is VERY important

Relax jam...we are in buddy. Even if we go 4-5 we are in. We'd need to have an epic collapse to miss now. Tonight's 2 were huge in that regard. And to finish as the last WC would be difficult also.

Get ready for Philly. Battle between me and a bunch of my buddies. I want that series...LOL.

I know they're in Chuck ... But they need to play well heading into the playoffs, and they need to get MSL heading in the right direction, because he will be an important part once the real games start.

Let's say we finish 6-3, below average really considering our schedule only has 3 playoff teams left on it. That would leave us with 96 points. The Caps or BJ's would need 97 points since we have the TB on both.

That means CBJ would need 19 of a possible 22 points to pass us.
That means the Caps would need 18 of a possible 20 points to pass us.

The math is on our side fellas.

For sure jam. MSL's issue to me is he just needs to start shooting more instead of passing every chance he gets. We'll need Nash, MSL, Hank, and McD playing at very high levels to make some noise in the playoffs.

Bottom line is outside of Boston the East is wide open. The # 2 spot after Boston is up for grabs between us and 3 other teams, Philly, Montreal, and Pitt IMO. We'll see who ends up in that spot.

Definitely need St Louis to get some confidence. He is the missing link on this team really being interesting in the playoffs. Other guys (Hank, Nash, Stepan McDonough, Girardi even Richards) have come around.
