Miggy Cabrera & the Detroit Tigers agreed today to a 10 year $292M contract. that will take him to the age of 41. Currently the best player in baseball I still cannot believe that owners are still giving out 10 year deals to players in there 30s. Cabrera turns 31 in April.
...lol...terrible comparison. ...using your own words and logic, Scherzer is a "one year wonder". "Way to many 1-3 year wonders in the history of baseball."... 2 years isn't a career...baseball is about performance and consistency."
Absolutely, there is no comparison. Although as I mentioned I'm not a fan of giving 10 year contracts to players in there 30s, unlike Scherzer Miggy has earned whatever he can get due to his YEARS of consistancy.
I clearly know Max, is not even in the same ballpark as Miggy.... Yet, I can't help but wonder what is going through Max's mind right now.......I bet the Tigers won't even bother to further negotiate with him this year, or at year end..........this say's screw you Max, in your face, go find another club to play for, if you can get what you were even offered........ Max, will be the next Shin-Choo: holds out for as much money and years, as he can get, watches Ellsbury clean up, then gets low-balled by Texas, if you call a 7 year $120 Million dollar deal Choo got, versus an 8 year 170 Million $$ deal, Ellsbury got.
