I think these are both unnecessary uses of hyperbole.

In my opinion, the spectrum goes something like this:

If someone wants to have gender reassignment surgery, that's fine and they should be accepted.
If they get fired because of their gender reassignment surgery, that's discrimination.
If they want to use company money and healthcare costs for the gender re-assignment surgery, that's getting pretty questionable and I would disagree.

I'm cool with this and am in total agreement on this part. From what I know of the other posters here, I think nearly everyone on this board agrees with this.

 

Reminds me of Renee Richards. He was a men's pro tennis player who sucked. So he became a t-girl to compete with the ladies. Anyway, in the end the tennis association had to come up with a new event- mixed singles.

 

yeah, I think 90% of us agree. I can understand, but I do not agree, with the argument that the sex change operation is a condition they physically need to change like if I were depressed, my company should cover anti-depressants.

How does that have anything to do with what I'm saying? What I'm saying is "they already allow transgender she peoples" to potty in the same bathroom with other girls. What does that tell you? Well they agree he/she is a female.

There's a substantial difference between the two and I think you know that.

 

If one's gender is a self-evaluation, there's nothing from stopping that from happening.

Okay, more realistic. There are 5 genders that naturally occur with humans. Male with testi and penis. With testi penis, vagina. testi, penis, vagina, and ovary. then vagina penis ovary. then at the end of the list, vagina and ovary. If any of those people want to change their physical structure, should that not be covered by health plans?

 

In my opinion, no. It's an unecessary elective surgery. Also, just by removing a man's penis does not make him a woman. It makes him a man without his penis.

 

I agree it doesn't make her a woman no more than there is proof of a god.
