when you lose 1 of your studs you usually get away with it for a game, it's always the next 1 after that it catches up 2 u, kreider would have been the difference in this 1 i believe

Hank would be my third goat of the game. The fourth goat is his tantrums.:)

    1. Kreider is not a stud.
    2. Kreider has been benched in the 3rd a lot...especially recently.

I get how this goes, we all have to look for these deep answers. It is pretty simple. We didn't play well tonight. We didn't play with the edge we need to tonight. Hank let in a terrible goal. We allowed Philly to get right back into the home ice race. What can you do.

If we play like this again at Edmonton I will get a little concerned. For now it is one flat game where we showed some battle back, but that soft late 2nd period goal by Calgary was a killer.

    What can you do.

I expect a very well played game at Edmonton.

I dont know chuck but I never saw Kreider getting benched for the whole period especially third this season. The kid has 17 goals. I know it is not a lot but he is another scoring threat out there with speed and size. We dont have too many forwards like Kreider on this team. Kreider is important part of this team which will be missed greatly.

St. Louis grace period is over. Now, he gets ripped if he doesn't produce. It's been long enough to get the system down. He needs to remove his head from his ass.

Agreed Step. I am not saying Miller is as good as Kreider, or close to as good at the moment, all I am saying is Kreider is not a stud. 7 points (4 goals) in his last 21 games tells us that. In addition AV has sat Kreider in the 3rd at times as well. Maybe not a flat out benching like with Miller, but there have been 3rd periods where Kreider only played a small handful of minutes.

I know this is what fans do, oh this guy is hurt so let's raise up his value now, and act as if he was here things would be way different, but we need to stay grounded on this. YES we are better with Kreider, agree 100000000000%, but he is not a stud at this point, and him missing cannot be an excuse to lose to the 5th worst team in the NHL IMO.

My issues with MSL is the way he is playing really. If he was playing hard, getting chances, flying around the ice...no issues. Then you say what can you do, scoring will come, but he is doing none of that.

He is soft on the puck. Passing WAY too much. Making dumb decisions, like that late penalty last night. He just seems totally lost mentally at the moment, and that is what is making me say WTF. He needs to man up...NOW.

I would put him back wih Richards tomorrow night, and have Pouliot on the other wing. I don't like him with Nash and Step and didn't from the moment they were put together. Put Hags with those two. Miller/Brass/MZA as the other line. Miller had a few nice chances, he just missed the net, and struggles to finish, which I guess is to be expected for a kid his age.

you are funny man!! for now on we will all wait for you to be good and pizzed at team to start criticizing..lol

and when i say he is a stud, i mean what he is to this team, and let me clarify, there hasn't really been 1 ranger all year that has been consistent, but as of late the kid has been very good at both ends of the ice, is he a stud in the NHL? abolutely not, will he be 1 day? he's got all the tools 2b , size speed skill.

In the future he can be a stud, we agree there. Bottom line is he's a solid player now. He had 7 points (4 goals) in his last 21 games. He has been playing around 12 mpg, please let's not say missing Kreider is why we lost to the 5th worst team in the NHL...please.

I knew this would happen. If we lose a game, or struggle we'll say oh if we only had Kreider. No excuses. We didn't have our game last night. Hank let in a very soft winning goal. That's it. Let's hope we play better tomorrow night at Edmonton, we need to win that game.

They also lose a lot of close games because their top forwards like Nash don't contribute consistently. Nash's numbers rely heavily on basically one out of this world month. The rest of the season he has 12 goals.

100% Mess. Nash has to raise his level as well. He made some nice plays last night, but didn't finish. Nash, MSL, MZA, and so on all need to step up their games.

That was a terrible call; could have called interference (against Calgary) or just let them play on. Personally, I would have just let them play on. Maybe it will awaken a more angry MSL ...

I disagree jam. That is a text book holding penalty on MSL. Dumb play to grab and spin him there.

hate to beat a dead horse, but AV was the biggest goat of the game. His decision to play dorsett cause his ties to calgary caused the 1st goal, dorsett tryin to impress created the PP early on eventually that decided game!

lundy's mishap would not even have come into play had game not started off the way it did.

i like the way this team is playing, you want to single out individuals? c'mon!! no way every single player is going to play to the best of their abilities at same time, its impossible!

Dorsett took a dumb penalty but the fourth line played really well the rest of the game. Speaking of fourth line, I think we finally have a decent bottom line that can actually dominate the other teams bottom line.

Chuck, if anybody was going to disagree with me, I knew it would be you. :-)

The way I saw it, MSL was impeded on his attempt to get to the net. Calgary stole it, which is exactly what I would have done had I been skating in front of MSL. No call would have been the right call.

MSL does not look like a sniper in a the Ranger uniform.
