Do you think Yanks have any interest in Rollins or Ricky Weeks? I think they realize the infield is not going to cut it and if Tex does not hit again who is his backup?

The Yankee bench is a disgrace. I feel they need to make a move for some power.

I had a bad feeling about Ellsbury & I've got a bad feeling about Teixeira. I'll tell you, sometimes this gift of being right all the time can really be a curse. And yes, I wish there were a way where we could have gotten Phillips.

Ellsbury has been playing in some minor league games without incident. Tex and Long seem to have found his issue of prematurely easing his grip upon contact, that's a common reflex after having gone through what he has. Sorry Rick, but your worries seem smack of wanting to be able to crow I told you so at a later point. I'm just not reading the sincerity that you truly hope both are injury free and wildly productive. If I'm wrong in my impression, please correct me.

I hope the Yanks have an interest in both Weeks, and or Rollins, preferably both...

Tex with no real backup, can we get Goldschmidt over here?

They have to be working on a trade. I can't imagine they want to designate someone.

    _____________________________________________

    From the above:

The Yankees and Dodgers still have a need for infielders. With the Yankees having three injury prone infielders pencilled in, to play the season - Ryan Roberts, Derek Jeter and Mark Teixeira - along with minimal infield depth, they too could be big contenders in the Franklin sweepstakes.

    __________________________________

Now, which of these players has been "injury prone" ?

I'll give you Roberts- but Jeter has suffered ONE serious injury (last year and a freaky thing when some jerk from Toronto dove on his shoulder years ago as Jeter was applying a tag).
He had a couple of setbacks attempting to come back last year which he attributed (heard it from his own mouth) to his legs not being in condition and the muscles being weakened from lack of work.

Tex? He has been very consistent in playing alot of games throughout his career except last year when he hurt his wrist swinging a bat. Lets put it this way, if he can't or doesn't bounce back from this injury, his days as a productive hitter may be over. We will find out soon enough - otherwise there is no reason NOT to expect him to play many games as the Yankee 1b.

I'm getting a little annoyed at hearing/reading all this crap about the Yankees' injury possibilities from the media - other teams will ALSO have injuries.

...Happy for Solarte, glad to see it.
...Nunez has had multiple opportunities to lock down a big league spot and failed each time. If he can't stay with the big club, they may as well deal him.
