I'm a bit of a gym rat and I love lifting weights. I've been thinking about starting to take creatine. I've never taken a muscle mass supplement before, and creatine seems to be the most promising. I've been doing alot of research on the product, but I'm wondering if anyone else has used it in the past. What were your results? Any side-effects? Are there any muscle mass supplements anyone would recommend over creatine?
Freak creatine. I just work out a lot, conditioning and lifting and I'm pretty jacked if I say so myself.
Take whey protein instead, it's the highest quality protein, fairly cheap and great stuff. If you do take creatine, make sure you drink a T-O-N of water or else it will make you sick.
I think this is the one that if you don't work out like crazy and do everything right you can gain a lot of weight also... unnecessary weight.
I used Creatine for awhile. It doesn't make you bigger it just gives you more energy when lifting weights. They say it's 100% safe but I dont like the feeling I had afterwards when my heart was still racing.
There is a kid at my school who has used creatine and one of his side-effects was MAJOR acne. As in the acne engulfed his face and part of his neck, it looked terrible.
Why can't you lift naturally? I know a lot of people at the YMCA that take it, I'd just rather do it on my own without the boost. It's just not for me I guess.
I do lift naturally. I'm just considering finding a supplement to enhance my results. I do eat whey protein bars.
All those supplements are gimmicks. There is no scientific proof that taking protein supplements will make you stronger. Weight lifting makes you stronger but the protein bars are a waste and don't enhance your performance. Take the recommended amount of protein every day which is 50 grams and that's enough.
