Hopefully it was just a stinger but it looked like a dislocation at the very least...If he's out for two weeks that won't be so bad but anything over that and it could be a very short playoff appearance this year.

Hopefully it's just a bad bruise and maybe a couple of games.

Of course the rangers wont give us any true updates except saying he will be evaluated on day by day basis.

This is the guy, along with Hank, we cannot afford to lose. If McDonagh is out against the Flyers we will lose that series for sure IMO. I see no way around it. We'll still be in the playoffs. We will still finish 2/3 in the Met (7 up on CBJ). But we would be done against the Flyers no doubt in my mind.

Let's hope it is minor and he's back for the playoffs, if not sooner, worst case.

You really want it out in the open how bad the injury is with playoffs against a tough opponent who is known for cheapshots?

That's exactly why they don't disclose injuries. Or at least a big part of why.

My point was is the way they always handle the injuries to our big stars. They don't even disclose it in middle of regular season. They always beat around the bush.

I have a hunch that it is not too serious and McD misses the next game for precautionary reasons.

Al, unfortunately with mcdonagh leaving the ice with his shoulder hanging at his side it will not be a mystery for any team looking for cheap shots where to hit regardless of what the rangers eventually or at all come out with
