If you could build a franchise around any player in the league, who would you pick? I'm going by each position.Obviously take into consideration youth and healthOffense:QB: Eli ManningRB: Reggie BushWR: Larry FitzgeraldDefense: DL: Mario WilliamsLB: Shawn MerrimanSecondary: Roy WilliamsOverall: Reggie Bush

LaDainian Tomlinson is still the leagues best back and is only 27. He's the best runningback in the game and will be better than Bush in my opinion. Carson Palmer is right there with Manning and Brady. He's been great since the start. Best combination of size, speed, smarts and arm in the game. You can't go wrong with Manning but I like Palmer more. I don't even know if Fitzgerald is even the best WR on his team. Andre Johnson has the best combination of speed and size of any WR in the NFL, and is probably the most talented. Mario Williams? Ehh...Julius Peppers is still young and in my opinion is better and will be better when it's all said and done. Shawne Merriman is a solid choice. Roy Williams is a liability in pass coverage, but he can hit and make plays with the best...I like Polamalu more because he's better in coverage and can do all the things Roy does. QB - Carson Palmer RB - LaDainian Tomlinson WR - Andre Johnson DL - Tommie Harris LB - Shawne Merriman SC - Troy Polamalu Overall - Carson Palmer Great QB play is essential. You don't have to have a all-pro runningback to win a superbowl. Carson Palmer is the 3rd best QB in the NFL. He has a huge arm, is VERY accurate, he's VERY smart, he has good mobility...etc...He's the NFL player I'd like to have out of everyone if I'm building a team.

Offense:QB: Payton ManningRB: LaDianain TomlinsonWR: Torry HoltDefense: DL: PeppersLB: Shawn MerrimanSecondary: Ed ReedOverall: Payton ManningPayton might have some years on him but he can teach everything you need to know about the QB position. LT is young and has proven himself that he carry a team by himself to get a victory. Torry Holt I believe has the best hands in the league (soft hands).Peppers is a man wrecking machine towards the Quarter Backs! And he very good with the run game also. Shawn is a beast when it comes to trenches, he can very well tackle and he can get those sacks for you. Ed Reed is still my best Secondary player even though he hasnt put up his numbers (MVP YEAR) he is a still a solid tackler and has the nose for the ball.Reggie Bush has been a dissapointment this season!

Ed Reed is a great player but for me...I don't know...I still think Troy Polamalu is a better player. Ed Reed is more of a free lancer who strays away from what the playbook tells him so instead he goes head hunting and is a little inconsistant and is in the wrong places. I love the guy, he's a playmaker but I think Polamalu is hands down the best safety in football, and the best all-around guy.

Reggie Bush, or LaDainian Tomlinson. Peyton Manning if he was just a couple years younger

QB - Tom Brady (may not be the youngest, but he is without a doubt the best player in the NFL imo)RB - LaDainian Tomlinson (easily the best RB in the league, can't pass him up at only 27)WR - Steve Smith (once again best guy at his position, can't pass him up at 27 either)-------------------------------DL - Julius Peppers (imo the best pass rusher in the league and still young)LB - Shawne Merriman (quite posibly the best LB in the league and so young)SC - DeAngelo Hall (still only 22/23 years of age and is already a top 5 corner)Overall- Tom Brady (always take the QB)

There are some people on BBW that are WAY too high on Reggie Bush. First off, you don't build your team around a runningback. Look around the league, you don't need an all-pro runningback to win a Championship. You need a good QB. Carson Palmer is a no-brainer for me. Reggie Bush doesn't seem to me at this point to be able to run between the tackles.

Not only does he pass, he can run, catch, etc. The guy is awesome. Build a good O line and you'll have a great offense. Get some decent receivers, and now the other team has to look out for a throw or run.

Brew you can build a team around a runningback look what the chargers did, they only had a runningback LT for years and know they got a QB now that can manage games now. Just find a runningback that can carry the ball 25-30 times a game wont find to many but there will be some around though. LJ I think you can build around ect.

Yes Tomlinson is the best back in football but quarterbacks are obviously more valuable. So when you have the choice to pick Carson Palmer or LaDainian Tomlinson to start your team I'm sure 100% of GM's would go with Carson Palmer.

Ernie Sims hits hard, and he will get a crap load of tackles in the future.
