http://apnews.myway.com/article/20061031/D8L3SB884.html This is why politics has me so down. This is something that John Kerry probably shouldn't have said. It's obvious that the Democrats are staying quite the last week so they don't slip up and use the silence of the party to keep Iraq...etc...In the headlines. I get what John Kerry is saying. Do good in school because if you don't the military could be an option and Iraq..etc..Could be in your future. At this time it was a silly thing to say and he over generalized what he said and it has turned into something bigger than it should be. Another point...Kerry has ruled another try at President in 2008, he could have done this on purpose to get attention and attack the Republicans while the party waits out the election in silence. Who knows.
Man, this was stupid of Kerry to respond, but his original statement wasn't so bad. The Republicans want to jump on any frickin word and turn it to something bad and use it as arsenal against the democrats. But Yeah, this is a blow to democrats.
I support Kerry and can't stand the bush administration..however this quote from dick cheaney I thought was hilarious:<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"Of course, now Senator Kerry says he was just making a joke, and he botched it up," Vice PresidentDick Cheney said in remarks prepared for a campaign appearance in Montana. "I guess we didn't get the nuance. He was for the joke before he was against it."</div>
I'm totally against the Bush admin, but kerry's an idiot. Just go away and shoot up some more botox. You forgot the next part of that quote, Combs<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Dick then turned around and shot Condy Rice</div>
That's right John..If you DON'T do good in school milatary is an option? I believe he's the one that went into the milatary for like 3 months, then blew himself up and got a purple heart..So he basically dissed himself there..He's just an idiot, and a disgrace to the country."I apologize to No one!"..haha he's a funny guy..

John Kerry misspoke and he?s an idiot to boot. But that was one sound bite, and because of that what he really said is totally lost. Like Murtha said today all this does is distracts from the real issue ? the war. This White House is fantastic at distracting us from their problems, and that idiot John Kerry gave them the perfect opportunity just days before a major election. That being said what Kerry said is sorta true. The way jobs are going (especially here in Michigan) if you don?t study the only good opportunity may be the Army

This issue is being blown WAY out of proporation.
Yeah, he's stupid for what he said. I mean I understand what he was trying to say but he just didn't say it in a correct way. He needs to watch how he says things especially if he wants to run for president in the future.

I'd been thinking how nobody in iraq shoud've even heard about this because shouldn't they be fighting a war and killing civilians, not watching our news?

They had to choose the ONE guy who had a worse GPA than bush?

He supported the war even when he was running. He just said that we didn't go in the right way, which is completely silly. I don't really know what he even meant by that.

Funny, when I went to his campaign rally and watched the debates on TV...he was against the war.
