http://www.nba.com/celtics/roster/ A bit surprising considering he just came here, and the fact that he's always out. But I think it's a smart move at the same time. He's a veteran, a leader, and he's already began teaching every day. It makes sense to name the veteran center your co-captain, especially considering the youth of our team. The only other guy I could see fitting a co-captain mold for this team is Wally, but Theo is more of a teacher than Wally. Your thoughts?
hmm.. I would've given that to Wally over ratliff easily. but whatever, if he's not playing much I guess it won't be that big of a deal. it's just a label.
So dumb to name a guy C when hes not even the best big man we have. I mean I know hes a vet but y wouldnt u give it to wally he actaully does something productive for the Cs

He's basically a coach on the court. Leadership and overall skill are two totally different things, and people always get mad when the 2 best players aren't the captains. Paul Pierce is the best player, but he's also a leader. Theo Ratliff isn't one of our best 3-5 players, but he's a leader and a veteran, and a teacher.
