So what's next? A lot of questions rose (pun intended) when he was dumped by NY.Several teams, as you guys might know by now, showed some interest in him. The top 3:Miami, LA and Detroit.I say: go to LA. If he'll get in shape, he can really help that team. And it would be interesting to see how he will respond under Phil Jackson. Jackson likes big guards.
For some reason I'm just seeing him playing in LA. As you said, Jackson does like big guards and I thikn he could make some things happen in the triangle.
I think we could use him. We still don't have a legit backup for Wade and we're a little thin at the guard spots because of injuries. I wouldn't mind him at all.
IF I was a Gm, I would take this guy, hes not a consitent gaurd, hes only spot is off the bench, which I see him sucking more at that too.
I read the front runners are the Suns, Detroit and Miami with the Lakers interested and on ESPN it said he wanted to win so he won't go to LA. I don't want him on the Suns since we have 4-5 guards and 4 small forwards so there's no need to get him. I think he'll go to the Heat. He'll go to the Heat for a good chance to win and he'll get playing time there.
David Aldridge just said that Jalen has narrowed it down to either Miami or Phoenix and should make a decision by Thursday. Miami looks to be the front runner simply because they can offer him $1.7 million compared to $1.1 million that PHX could offer him.

He would get some time backing up Wade, and also extra time backing Gary Payton while J-Will is out. I think Miami is definitely the better fit. Miami has no backup 2-guard while Phoenix has plenty of guards on the roster (Nash, Bell, Barbosa, Banks, Jones). Miami seems like a pretty good fit.EDIT: Miami also could definitely use a shooter. Rose has a solid stroke still.
I would love to see him as a Piston. He is from Michigan and played his college ball at the University of Michigan. I hope he takes a serious look at playing for us because then we can ship Carlos Delfino for a better backup center.
god, if miami gets jalen rose.. I don't know what I'll do. :ranting:I would think the top destinations would be L.A. and maybe even Indiana.
He's going to Miami - Miami is probably the best spot for him in regards to minutes and money. He can get the mid-level from the Heat, well at least most of it. I think they said he's making his decision today.
Yeah, I now think he'll got to Miami, too.Still think that the Lakers would've been the best fit for him. Oh well.

I could seriously see Isiah Thomas giving Jalen Rose a contract using the Knicks's MLE a few days after he released him... that's how horrible of a GM Isiah Thomas is... :HAHAHA:In all seriousness though, Jalen's decision should be announced by tomorrow night at the very latest.
Apparently Rose will sign with Phoenix, maybe by the end of the night:http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/430...e_with_phoenix/<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>On Thursday night, Jalen Rose was on the verge of signing a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns . NBA sources said the deal would likely be completed by the end of the night. The 33-year-old Rose would earn the NBA minimum salary of $1.178 million ? $744,551 of which would be paid by the Suns and the rest coming from a league fund created for that purpose. Miami has also been contending for his services.</div>I think Miami is the better fit. They have more money and more playing time to offer. Oh well.
Okay...whatever...I guess a proven player can't hurt but I keep hearing about how he isn't fit to run like we do and we do have so many guards and forwards...we'll see how he fits in.
Who knows... maybe he turns into Tim Thomas version 2 for the Suns this season... but I agree with CelticBalla that Miami seems to be the better fit for him.
