If you had to pick one team in each league that you think is going to surprise people who would it be?

For me & not just because I'm a long time fan in the NL I'm going with the Giants. I just think they have a very good team & a strong staff. I mean any team that's got Bumgarder & Cain at the top of there order followed by the savy veteran Tim Hudson has a great chance. They have Pagan back this year leading off. Posey who's added 20 lbs of muscle to strenthen his legs. And a full season of Brandon Belt makes for a pretty good team. Now off to a 5-1 start after taking a second straight easy win from the Dodgers.

And in the AL, this is just a gut feeling....The Cleveland Indians. Or The Kansas City Royals.

San Francisco have an excellent club, had some bad stuff happen last year, and I'd not be surprised if they won the division. On the other hand LA has some people (Puig) who are a few French fries short of a happy meal.

    Good call on KC-Rick

KC, Philly, Frisco, (hell maybe even L.A. oh shit).......Cleveland, yes, Francona will build it and they will come? (longshot)-Miami...? prove me right Jose Slider from HELL....(shade of Gary Left Peters)

Here's One, give the Ryan Combo Father and Son tandem, with a hot minor league prospectus....lost over 100 games last year, hadn't adapted to the AL yet now are showing some grit, as the Ryan's NO DOUBT, will build it again, and they will come. Give The 'Stros 3 yrs, maybe 2-(2016) and they will be in the playoffs, albeit even a wild card. By 017-the 'Stros should contend, you heard it here first, and I bank on that forecast, or God Forever I will hold my tongue. And retire to my cave...

It's early yet but I'd have to say at this time the Marlins could factor in the NL East. J Fernandez, damn that guy can flat out pitch, if he continues as is he's going to have quite a career. Stanton, love to see that guy in pinstripes, dude reminds me a bit of the Mick with those long distance bombs. They picked up a few nice pieces over there who are working out well to date. The experts picked Washington but until they can learn to beat Atlanta they're in sad shape.

Jose is phenomenal no doubt. As exciting to watch right now as King Felix, IMO.

I was just thinking last night, after watching Jose's 2nd great outing of the year; can you imagine a team with both Jose Fernandez, and King Felix Hernandez? A Team like that, could walk all the way through Playoffs, perhaps right smack into a World Series Contender...!

I'm going to say Boston in the AL... not for good reasons either... I think they'll miss the post season this year which would be surprising to many.... Possibly Seattle for not improving as much as they should have by just getting Cano... I think the AL will be more different this post season than last year.

In the NL, a bit of a tougher call for me, but I'm going to say the Giants I guess... I think the NL will be more consistent between last year and this year... Washington will be close to making the post season behind Atlanta, 3 teams will fight it out in the Central, and Dodgers look to be pretty safe atop the West... all depends on health... but there's a shot SF could fight for a WC spot with Washington and 2 of the 3 in the Central...
