http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/430..._nose_in_debut/ <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Bulls? Tyrus Thomas was all smiles following his official NBA debut, even though he wore two pieces of tape over a broken nose. ?Now I?ve got a good story to tell,? the rookie forward said. Thomas will sit out tonight?s game in Orlando. He may just head back to Chicago to get fitted for a clear plastic mask, which he will have to wear until the broken nose heals. It?s possible he could be back for the Bulls? home opener Friday. ?It?s cool. I?ve just got a headache,? he said. ?I feel good about my performance.? The blow came with 7:43 left in the fourth quarter when he went for an offensive rebound and was smashed in the face by a forearm from Miami?s James Posey.</div> That was a pretty good fall, and if you watched the game you know he got his hip banged up in a play before this as well. He hustled like crazy though, and that's why he was hitting the deck. Good news he'll probably only miss one game though. He played a good game though. He impressed me, I didn't expect him to do that much in his first game (Thabo as well). He hustled like crazy, blocked a couple shots, rebounded, and had a nasty putback slam. This kid gets up so high it's unreal. EDIT: Who like my new avy? :winkglasses:
I love your avy too, what a friggen save. But Yeah I really like Ty Thomas. Like you said he hustles and has heart, he's an absolute FREAK athlete, he can rebound, good defender, can play the 3 and 4, an he can actually shoot from 18 feet pretty damn solid. I like him a lot, he has the most potential in this draft class (as well as Gay), and he is going to be a phenominal player.
I loved Tyrus Thomas since the NCAA Tournament last year. He is a very good player and I think he'll be a better version of Marion in the future. That's who he reminded me of. Brandon Roy is still my favorite rookie but I love Thomas.
