Lines at practice today (Pat Leonard) were:

Rick Nash, Derek Stepan, Marty St. Louis
Carl Hagelin, Brad Richards, Jesper Fast
Benoit Pouliot, Derick Brassard, Mats Zuccarelo
Brian Boyle, Dom Moore, Derek Dorsett

Again, I am not a big fan of Nash and MSL together. I really think they should be on different lines. The all Swedish winger unit with Richards is interesting, but I would have left Hags with Step and Nash, and would play Fast with MSL and Richards.

To me Miller, or Fast, or someone like that needs to be up. Moore or Boyle or Carcillo do not belong in the top 9. Leave the 4th line alone. Moore and Boyle with Carcillo or Dorsett as the 3rd guy is the way to go with the 4th line. They have played well.

Interesting that they would have Fast up here over Miller. I figured Miller would at least give us some size. He must have really pissed the brass off.

Based on those comments from AV last week, I think they believe he doesn't work hard enough. Who knows, but that's the way I read it.

Let's see what Fast can do. It makes sense IMO. Like I said, I believe we should leave the 4th line alone, and let a kid who trends towards being a top 9 forward at some point down the line, be in the top 9.

Wish team scouts select more Swedish players. Detroit
cannot keep drafting all the good Swedish players

The Rangers actually have more Swedish prospects than most teams. Lindberg, Andersson also. Detroit drafts like 75% Swedes.
