I cannot believe how empty the stadium looks. I know the tickets are costly but a night game, & beautiful weather. There can't be any more then 10,000 fans in the park.

It really is Jill. Then you have to figure in the 1st Yankee stadium start by Tanaka. I thought the stadium would be packed. The owners & the high salaries the owners brought this on themselves.

I agree. Old Yankee Stadium was always packed and had a different vibe to it. What has changed? Prices?

Rick, considering what the prices are for a family of 4 to attend a friggin baseball game in seats that you can actually see and enjoy the game from you could take same said family on a weeks vacation somewhere. If you have a large screen hd tv you don't have any of the hassles getting there and if the game sucks you can simply hit the remote to another game or show. The greedy players and owners have priced themselves too highly for a normal fan to even be bothered anymore,

I think it's prices combined with team quality...

It's just become too expensive. When you consider that in say 1994 you could grab a $10 ticket and still have a half way decent seat. Now a decent seat is costing you $75.00. Add the parking and everything else it's just too much for most people.

I keep up with quick pitch and from the video I'm seeing looks like attendance is down all over.

It's got to be. Even the opening day crowd they had at 45,000. What they don't tell you is that's what was sold in tickets, But in actuality there was only about 30,000. And for a home opener...that's bad.
