I might get a technical foul for this post but...they dont even let people fight out for rebounds anymore..or it's a personal foul..there's been almost more fouls called than field goals madeand I swear they're going to have a record for technical fouls called this year
no haha its not that I disagree with the rules about players arguing and I think they should be prohibited from it..but the thing is..the fouls ruin the game..instead of watchin basketball up and down..all you hear is whistle after whistle..I just hate it
I agree. From the games I've watched so far the refs are making it way too soft out there. There have been so many ridiculous fouls called. The refs need to let the game be more physical.
The only beef I have with the refs is consistency. I just mentioned this in the Celtics game thread but I guess I can divulge (haha sweet word) more into it in this thread. If the refs are going to call a few ticky tacky fouls, they've got to call them all. If they're going to call none, don't call any. Its real hard for the players to gauge what they can and can't do when the officiating is inconsistent, and I think that is part of the problem with players getting frustrated with the refs. If they called consistent fouls, I 100% believe that less players would complain. Also, just a random thing I found tonight.. what the F*ck is up with them calling traveling and palming every 2 minutes. I swear I saw more just in the Celtics game tonight than I have in my entire life.
The new technical foul rule is just ridiculous...Rasheed got get ejected already in today's game. The first one all he did was raise his arms in the air and give a "what" expression. The second - thats a different story.
This is going to be an interesting season...-Lakers beat the Suns without Kobe-Foul calling sucks.-Technicals are redickalus-there'd be more but we're only a couple days into the seasonLoving it though...
they're not letting players be as physical, which is pretty poor timing for the celtics, as they finally stopped being so soft on defense.

He knew the rules and did it a second time. He's a big reason why his team lost, he cannot just shut up and it cost his team the game. I'm glad the Bucks don't have any babies.
I'm glad they're being a bit harder, most NBA players need to learn to shut up and play. And the travels and palming need to be cracked down on.
The refs are being pretty fair but I agree they are calling too many fouls and travels. I know it's the NBA's rules but they have to give the players some space to play. I think(hope) they'll figure it out eventually.
People pay their money to see professional athletes go out there and perform not refs call fouls every 20 seconds and techs every minute. I'm so sick of this man, its to the point where it makes you not want to even watch anymore.
This officiating is total crap. Mystery traveling, swinging elbows by some ugly ass kaveman which are supposed to be illegal going uncalled... this is ridiculous.
Why are some of you guys being such babies? My lord. Players will most likely adjust to the new rules and over the next month things won't be so bad.

It should be a wakeup call that it's not going to be taken lightly.

I mean, someone must have told him to keep his cool beforehand, right? I think it's a good rule too, though. Certainly if they are going to make a rule about Cuban, they should about players. Coaches are there to question or constructively complain about calls.
its not the technical fouls that's bothering me..it's the fact that they're calling personal fouls for absolutely nothing..if you walk out of the room while the players are shooting free throws and walk back in 2 minutes later..they'll be shotting free throws..its terrible
