Forgot to make a preview...anyways..Houston is getting TORCHED right now. It's embarrasing! The Rockets are shooting only 33% while Utah is shooting 53%. One thing im not impressed at all is our rebounding and our free throw shooting. Utah has 22 rebounds while the Rockets are left with 14. The Free throw shoothing is horrendus. 10-16.McGrady is 6-12 from the FT Line. He needs to find that shot. And now if they're planning to win. Rafer is being to his old sloppy self. When the pressure is on, he's out. So far, Im not impressed on our sloppy play. It's horrible. If we plan to win we need to work on rebounding, free throw shooting and smarter shots. I'm currently watching this game right now and our shot selection is horrible. Wow...I just saw a play right now. Our defense just sucked. SUCKED! Yao needs to get outta that fouling trouble and start rebounding because everytime I look, Utah has an offensive rebound. This is embarrasing. I guess it's pretty okay if it's Utah since I like them and all. But this is too sloppy for me.We better regroup in the 2nd half or we're done for.
T-Mac has 17/4 on 5-11 shooting in 1st half, though, and they are only losing by 12. Alston needs to start hitting some shots, and Yao needs to learn to not foul so early in the game (he has played great as well). They are showing why battier can't play PF, Boozer has raped them. Why no Juwan Howard?
Rockets down by 12...Halftime.Houston Rockets16-39 - FG3-10 - 3PT FG13-21 - FTM-A18 - Rebounds7 - Assists4 - Steals2 - Blocked Shots14 - PFs6 - TOUtah Jazz19-37 - FG2-6 - 3PT FG20-23 - FTM-A26 - Rebounds9 - Assists2 - Steals2 - Blocked Shots16 - PFs8 - TOOkur is completly raping Padgett. I don't know why JVG matched him up with him.EDIT:GOOD GOD! GET THE FCKING REBOUND!EDIT:If I had a nickel everytime Padgett got shot on AND got it in, I'd be rich.
Still getting torched. Boozer with 22 and 18. Un-in-freaking-acceptable!36 rebounds for the Jazz while 26 for the Rockets. Our free throw shooting is still pretty bad. Our shot selection is still pretty bad also.
As I said before, battier just won't do at PF. WTF happenned to Juwan, why hasn't he played?Well, at least T-Mac has played well, that's really what I was looking for.

Again, I'm not 100% sure because this was sometime in the middle of the summer, so obviously there has been a lot of time that has passed between now and then. Maybe an injury problem? Who knows... but they definitely need him to be out there.
I didn't catch any of this game but people have to look out for the Jazz this year. They have the most dynamic front court in the NBA... Kirilenko - Lockdown defender, shotblocker Boozer - Solid downlow, good post scorer and great rebounder Okur - Great all-around scorer, shooter. Not to mention Calvin Miles has really come out of nowhere to be the starter. Considering how raw he was coming out of high school it's a shocker to see him starting and apparently on Sloans good side. And we all know about Deron Williams' play. It's only one game but the Jazz will be a big threat if they stay healthy.
Utah always plays well early on. Rememeber last season when they started out 5-0 and Boozer was averaging 25 and 10?Something to that extent.
It's over. <_<We just played sloppy overall. McGrady had a great game though. We missed 13 freaken free throw shots though and got out rebounded. We need to improve on our freaken defense. Boozer with freaken 19 rebounds...God. That's embarrasing. If we don't shape up now...We're dead against Dallas. WE NEED BETTER SHOT SELECTION!Deron had a GREAT game. That's the part I love a lot.
Wow 18 points and 10 assists for Deron. I never saw how solid of a game had until now. The Jazz are definetly a dangerous team when healthy.
Houston is strugling right now, and if they keep playing like this they will miss teh playoffs. What troubled me the most was that Tmac did not look as a young McGrady but instead as a tired old man. Hopefully thsi is just a oen game thing cause if Tmac does not play to hsi full potential Rockets are screwed. And do not even get me started on Yao, he has the body to be the best player in the league and yet he is dumb enough not to use it to hsi advantage, and often is challlenged by players much smaller than him.
25 and 9 is an "old man"?Wow...All McGrady needs to work on is his free throw shooting. I agree that he looks different right now from last time but c'mon, He just came back from an injury and still needs to find his touch. I wouldn't say Houston is "struggling", I would just say they're out of touch right now and just need a few touch ups from JVG to be back as we were in 04. We seriously need Juwan at PF now. I now know he's valuble to us in some way. The only reason IMO the Jazz played great this game is because of Houston. Im not taking anything away from the Jazz but Houston made too many mistakes for the Jazz to play THAT good.I agree with iv28 though, The Jazz are a dangerous team when healthy.
Did you watch teh game, Im not saying Tmac did badly, he did well. What im saying is that I did not see that finess palyer that I am accostummed to seeing. Liek I said I hope thsi si just because hes rusty, but the way he moved on the court last night was not what I was expecting. And I cant emphazise enough how discouraged I am by Yaos play, despite decent numbers the impact that he has on the game is not at the level that it should
Yes, I did watch the game. McGrady will shake off that rust. It's pretty exciting to think, "well he's still rusty and got 25 and 9..." imagine when he shakes it off. I agree with the Yao part you said. He just didn't play as dominant as he did in March or the World Champs.I guess he needs to shake off a bit of rust also. I don't really know.
