Some fans are definitely more exuberant than others.

In my opinion the only thing that bugs me is when people get intoxicated and take it too far. I can't stand the fans that get drunk (or are sober) and all the sudden forget that there are kids around. They start swearing up a storm not considering who else is hearing it.

Aside from that what are some things you guys frown upon?

My main reason for asking this is because I am strongly considering bringing a cowbell to the games. I won't be 'that guy' who is ringing it the full 48 minutes, but rather when appropriate. Should I go for it or will I just end up ticking off the people seating near me?

The time is almost here, I literally cannot wait!

That would irritate the crap out of me after the 3rd or 4th time.

But, if you can do it like Will Ferrell....

Honestly, a lot of times it's so loud during the playoff games, you can't hear half (or more) of the shit people around you are saying. I'm not condoning the drunks, though.....everybody gets jacked up 10x more than in the regular season.

Two years without playoffs was two too many. No better feeling than the Rose Garden in the postseason! I think the last two home games are going to be closer to that atmosphere, I can't wait. Bring your cowbell, bring your thundersticks, bring a poster, and bring the honey lemon tea for your vocal cords!

I think the cowbell would annoy me if I were next to you but I'm glad you're excited about the playoffs. If you sit by the visitors bench, bring lots of cowbells.

We had a guy like that a few rows above us last game - drunk, cussing, thinking he's way more clever than he was . . . I finally narced on him to the usher. There were kids around, and in any case, we came to watch the game, not listen to him. She shut him up fast. As she told me later, "We have a code of conduct here."

In other news, I won't say we need more cowbell, but when appropriate, I say A-OK. I used to live in Sac - Arco was cowbell heaven!

I'm jealous man. Blazers have great fans, I love them all...but I'm not one of those guys who think we have the only fans. Cowbell kingdom was one of a kind!

I would love to see the city of portland adopt a theory of noise in numbers and implore it by showing our coordination. Similar to what you see at a lot of futball games. I'd love to get 1 side of the arena chanting "this is our house" followed by the other half responding with "this is our time". Something like that would be better than any cowbell money can buy.

Don't need cowbell. The fans will be plenty loud. Blazer fans are notoriously loud during the playoffs. I've been in the Rose Garden during the playoffs and it was so loud you literally couldn't hear yourself speak.

It'll be interesting with the insanely increased ticket prices if more Blazer "fanatics" can actually afford to go to the games. I love the Blazers a ton, but a club level seat for a first round game for $400 bucks? Hell no. I'd only pay that if I was getting courtside. I have a fear it will be a ton of corporate ticket holders, unfortunately.

That's the problem with the front office these days. They're completely out of touch with the fans. The Timbers have taken over as the "every day fan" team. The Blazers are for the rich people.

Precisely my concern. There are still a lot of tickets left. I decided to go with blue section and there are tons of tickets still available. Yellow corner seems to be sold out, however everywhere else seems to have available tickets. I was sure it would sell out, but it seems things will need to pick up if it is going to. It would be a tragedy if the atmosphere is weakened because of the ticket prices.

I had no idea they were charging that much. This isn't the fucking super bowl. The NBA has completely lost touch with its roots.

I was listening to 1080, and Ropp was saying someone tweeted him a link that had the prices of the last playoff ticket cost compared to this one... and there's some sections that are 80%+ increase... it's ridiculous. I can hardly stomach spending over $60 if I know I can watch it at home and get just as much enjoyment (and a lot less stares from people wondering why I'm cheering so loud) than at the game.

What did the blue section run you?

Yeah. They tried SO HARD to push playoff tickets... but I know I wasn't the only one that took one look at the prices and go "Are you kidding me? Why?". If it was the Finals, sure... that'd probably be an okay price. But a first round game? It's a joke.

I was thinking about going because I haven't missed a playoff series since I was a kid, but I refuse to pay that. That's completely ridiculous. I hope it doesn't sell out. I hope thy see that they're assholes and reduce the cost.

I'm posting this link because it is hard for me to say what I paid...

I would love if they dropped the prices and refunded me lol

Spurs first round tickets start at $13...............I don't know all their pricing info but I'd bet you can sit 100 level mid court for the price of our blue level tickets.

Just further proves that the Blazers have completely lost touch with this city.

They can run all the "Rip City" commercials they want, but they are clueless when it comes to the fans these days.
