Wow, finally a game thread on this. Memphis made a nice comeback to get it to OT and ever since it's been as tight as it gets.Updated Score: 115-113 Memphis with 2 minutes left in tripple OT.
Great game thus far... I already commented on it in the Knicks forum so I'll wait till the game ends, whenever that will be.
Damn I stopped following this game in the 4th and haven't checked since. I can't believe it's gotten all the way to 3OT. 117-115 Memphis is leading. Hakim Warrick has had a great game so far. Rudy Gay has had a pretty good NBA debut also.
I've been extremely expressed with the play of Kyle Lowry tonight as well.Q-Rich just got away with a travel, and put the Knicks up by 1 after hitting two free throws... wow I didn't realize he had 31 points... 11.9 seconds left in the game.
Game is over.Knicks win 118-117. Mike Miller had a shot to tie it in the end but blew it. Grizzlies looked pretty good despite the loss though. It was the free throw shooting that killed em. Anyways, they have a promising future in Warrick/Lowry/Gay.
I know it's only one win but now everyone can shut up. this team struggled in closing games out for years and this was big. they played well as a team but they still are turnover prone. curry looked great even though he still gets all of these weak foul calls against him. 17 points 14 boards and 3 blocks. I think eddy can be breaking out. I hope :shifty2:

What a great season opener for the Griz,Knicks and the NBA period.

I like how you compared him to nate :happy0144: I like rudy gay a lot too.
Mike Miller and Q played excellent. Miller was just gunning 3s in our faces. But Q Rich came and saved our asses.
I wish I could have seen this game. I did manage to see highlights on ESPN though, and I saw the box score. Wow Quentin Richardson! 31 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists on 10-13 shooting, 5-5 from downtown, and 6-6 from the line! Also, ZERO turnovers in 56 minutes for him. That's amazing. I also got to see Q in preseason vs. the Celtics, and he REALLY has bulked up this summer. He looks huge. I was also happy with Eddy Curry's line. 17 and 14 with 3 blocks - awesome. I know Memphis has a terrible frontline right now, but seeing that from Curry is promising. Also, my boy David Lee with 13 boards. I'm happy that Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry had good NBA debut's as well. I feel bad for Mike Miller though, he had a good game but missed 2 potential game winners. That has to be very frustrating. Again, I really wish I could have seen this game.
